Lone Ranger - 75th Anniversary Collector's Edition (DVD, 2008, 13-Disc Set, 75th Anniversary Collection)

I looked for something that would document the history of the "Lone Ranger" fir our grandson. My wife and I had bought him the Linoel Lone Ranger Wild West train set he wanted for Christmas. His interest for this set was because of the very old style steam engine. He knew nothing about the Lone Ranger as no channel carries the movies or TV series as re-runs. We give him one DVD each week, but he is patiently waiting for one that has train scenes.

The price was very good on this set and I got to see the very first episode which I had not scene as a kid. Although these have a little violence, the morals are strong for Good over Evil and bad guys are arrested not killed. Far superior to the violent video games the youngsters are presented with today.

THE LONE RANGER WAS THE GREATEST EXAMPLE OF WHAT A HERO SHOULD BE, FOR KIDS AND GROWN-UPS. HE EXEMPLIFIED RIGHTEOUSNESS, TRUTH, HONOR, AND DECENCY. CLAYTON MOORE SEEMED TO BE MORE THAN AN ACTOR: HE LIVED HIS DAILY LIFE AS THE EXAMPLE HE FELT PEOPLE WOULD EXPECT FROM THE LONE RANGER. THIS BOX-SET SHOULD BE SEEN BY CHILDREN TODAY. IT WOULD SERVE AS A PERFECT TEACHER OF WHAT REAL COURAGE AND WHOLESOME CHARACTER CAN PRODUCE: A MAN WHO KNOWS RIGHT FROM WRONG WITH NO EQUIVOCATION, NO HESITATION, NO DOUBT. WE COULD USE MORE PEOPLE TODAY, LIKE THE LONE RANGER.

My grandchildren enjoy watching the Lone Ranger dvd. The Lone Ranger was my hero as a young lad.
We did not own a television at the time, 1949. We would walk five blocks to watch this program
every week. The owner of the Drug store had the TV turned so you could see it while standing
outside, with the door open so you could hear it. It brings back great memories. I recommend the
Lone Ranger dvd. Thanks.

I like the picture quality also the booklet that came with it that tells you about the shows. I bought this anniversary set because it reminds me of when i was yonger and watched the show with out missing a episode. Reminds me of a more simpeler time. Is one of the best dvd sets that i have bought. Id recommend this set for any one old or young.
