Looney Tunes - Golden Collection: Vols. 1-3 (DVD, 2005, 3-Disc Set)

As a person in my 40's, I fondly recall waking up to the "Looney Tunes" cartoons every Saturday morning, or as a prelude to a motion picture. Of course, most of the "Looney Tunes" I grew up with were made in the 50's and early 60's.

This collection is an exhaustive compilation of the "Looney Tunes" of the 1930's through the 1960's. There are 4 DVD's in each volume, and most are not particularly organized in any meaningful way. Still, the remastering is wonderful, with clear sound and strong pictures. I could also have gone without Whoopi Goldberg's "politically correct" statements about the humor of the "Looney Tunes."

Nevertheless, if you love classic cartoons, this is a treasure trove of material. You probably won't watch them all at once. Savor just a couple and then watch the feature presentation at home. My guess is that you will still be laughing hours later.
