The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Sony PlayStation 2)

AMAZING GAME! very hard at times. Co-op is ridculously fun. you play in three different paths. The fellowship, Gandalf, and Frodo and Sam. Each very fun and gives you a full perspective of the story.

This game is great because it is endlessly replayable and different every time. The extra features are awsome because they have interviews with the actors, them playing, and voiceovers of the characters by the actors themselves. Follows the movie exactly as seen on VHS or DVD. Tons of extra features to unlock and new moves to discover. FUN GAME!

I bought this game because I really liked the Lord of the Rings movies. After doing a little research online, I saw that it was rated fairly well so I decided to buy it and I was not disappointed. The game has pretty good graphics and does a great job of recreating environments from the movie. The only major drawback is that the character models don't look so much like their actor counterparts. Still this does not defer from really fun gameplay. The sound is where this game excels because it uses the actors from the movies voices' and also gives the sense that players are really surrounded by all sorts of action taking place. This game brings a lot of action and does a good job of putting the players into situations filled with chaos, just like the movies. Overall a good game that is fun to play, the graphics are the only downside, as I have seen better, but the graphics themselves are still not bad, just not amazing.

This game is great in refernce to the movie. You can play as any of your favorite characters plus you can even unlock special secert bouns characters as well! It begins where Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers left off and then you can choose three different pathways on the level select screen in any order you choose. There are serveral combo moves you can purchase for your characters to make them stronger as they advance in level with the highest level being 20. You also get to unlock two special bouns levels when you complete the game too! You even have character voice overs for all the people in the game which includes the Orc's, Saruman, and everyone else! I give this game a 5/5 for great game play and everthing else.

This a great game with high production values. It really gives you the sensation that you are in the game, especially the epic battles. Let me tell you, I have years of experience of playing video games and this one is honestly tough game. The way games should be, like Old school Nintendo games were. I would also recommend playing the LOTR:Two Towers as well.
The one thing I would stress is the co-op play, it is soooooo much fun. Between battling alongside a friend all nite and hordes of opponents, you will emerge satisfied as another level is completed.
By the way, its a Greatest Hits game, so you can get it for a great price.
