It's Not Paper, It's Towels! Great Fun for Kids & Up

I bought the book about towel origami as a side note to my studies with paper. Very nice quality book in paperback, good size for easy reading. The photographs are also very good and descriptive. The author makes it very clear in the introduction this is a totally different medium than paper. With that in mind, one can proceed objectively. Templates at the end provide the cute trim for the animals' faces, etc.. This book is also being featured in several gift catalogs out now for the holidays. Would also invite children five and up to try the projects with an adult working the folding diagrams as well. They can make their own cruise ship towel puppy dog.

I asked my friend in Japan; this really IS a Japanese tradition. My kids loved making the towel monkey. I used the wedding cake design to make a wedding present out of towels. Yes, the present was towels. But because of the designs in the book, the presentation was unique. I'm happy with the purchase, because it teaches me how to add a little grace to a mundane thing like bathroom towels.

FAMILY FUN WITH AMAZING RESULTS

Being avid cruisers and having been blessed with towel animals on different cruise lines my kids finally decided that it is time we do something like this at home.
Since we did not really find some good instructions on how to transform a sinple towel into a nice and sturdy towel animal this book seemed a good choice to finally be able to get our own little zoo started.
After trying all the different animals and shapes mentioned and carefully explained in this book I can safely say that this is probably the best book out there. Forget all the others which seem to explain a lot but leave you with animals that nobody recognizes or heaps of used towels with no success of an animal whatsoever.
We like working with this book as it expolains everything in easy steps and even has my 10 year olds practicing almost every night.
Definitely my recoomendations....and thumbs up from my kids.
