Lost Planet: Extreme Condition (Sony Playstation 3, 2008)

A lot of people told me this was a bad game. I watched several videos and read several reviews as well. I wasn't gonna buy it based on the enormous amount of negative feedback I received about this game. I eventually saw it here on ebay for a great price and I decided to try it anyway. I discovered that most people never gave this game a chance. The main problem most people had with this game was the fact that you had to collect orbs from downed enemies in order to stay alive. It's like a timer that kills you if don't kill enough people. Any game with this feature has always irritated me to no end. Luckily, I found a cheat to add orbs to your meter whenever you want. If you use this code while playing the game it makes it a much better game. I'm not really a fan of cheats, at least not until I've discovered all I can about the game without them, but in this case I made an exception. If you take the time to find this cheat you will love this game. I'm not even a big fan of most shooters, but I like this game and I hope to beat it more than once. Seriously, give this game a chance. You can find it for under $20 on Ebay if you're patient.

one of the awesome game of the year fun to play if your inrested in this game i got say well u just can't get enough of this & take my word for it this game is awesome to play if your gamer & u don't what to play this is it i recommend on this game it so worth playing 10 out 10 perfect

Lost planet is a 3rd person shooter based in the future on a Snow planet. You have many battles in Mech suits (Big Robots you can control) or you can jump out and defeat you enemies with a large assortment of futuristic guns, ranging from a pistol to a laser cannon bigger than you character (yet somehow you can carry it!)You can even put the big guns on the Mech suits (Called VS in the game) and vice versa. The big boss's have a the classic weak spots that are behind them or have many weak spots and you gotta destroy them all. The Boss's and normal enemies tend to be bugs, human size to building size. There are some people that are enemies to. Online is great! Team Deathmatch is my personal favorite. Huge detailed levels! Many different Mech suits and the huge array of guns scattered about the map. 100% great game and a must buy!

If you are into sci-fi shoot-em-ups like Resistance: Fall of Man, you might like Lost Planet. It's a third-person shooter with a developed story line and nasty alien critters. The pulsating Akrid pods are disgusting! Although the graphics are very original, I grew bored with it. The VS Vital Suits were hard to operate and moved abnormally slow compared to the quick alien bosses. Getting killed multiple times every time I fought a boss was not fun. Still, it's a decent game for sci-fi gamers.

As an adult that play's a lot of video games, I did have fun with this one. The controls are solid, the graphics good, it is set in an interesting, ever changing environment, and the gun play is entertaining. I was considering giving LP-EC an average rating, but the bosses are huge and each one requires a different strategy when trying to defeat it, so I am bumping it up to good. And the VS (virtual suit- an armored bot with guns and missile launchers attached ) are fun to equip. This is a good game to fill in the time while waiting for the next Bioshock to come around.
