For the Love Of Nancy (DVD, 2007)

This movie was a made for TV special Starring Tracy Gold (Growing pains). It is based on true events. Nancy is about to start college and is having doubts. Things are changing in her life and she can't control it but she can control what she eats. This story is about a girl who struggles with anorexia and how it effects her life and the rest of her family.

This was a great movie. I remember seeing it back 7 years ago in High School in my health class that i had. Tracey Gold was amazing in this movie. The sad truth is that there is alot of girls out there that have eating disorders. Women that aren't happy with their bodies begin starving themselves and eventually are near death because they are way to skinny and their bodies aren't getting much of anything because either they aren't eating, or they are just throwing up what they eat. I have a friend very close to me that had an eating disorder. It took her awhile, but she finally got the help she needed and is better now.
The way they made Tracey look in this movie was kind of eerie. She looked deathly ill. Very very bony, and her face looked very pale at times and also looked alittle blue.Atleast there is a happy ending to this movie :-)

I think this is the best movie ever on Lifetime. Not only is Tracy Gold in it but so is Zach Morris!!!! It's such an awesome depiction of a real illness. Why not smile at it?

The best part is how long it takes her family to realize she has a problem. She runs up and down the bleachers at school constantly and NEVER eats.
