Love You Forever by Robert N. Munsch and Sheila McGraw (1986, Paperback)

I love this book because it reminds me of my son. He would bring it to me all the time as a child to read it to him. He would always say that when he was all grown up He would be just like the boy in the book and drive in his car so he could come and rock me. Well some where in the process of him growing up into that great big man, he lost the book. He would often ask me if I remembered the story and loved to hear me tell him of how he was just like the little boy in the book. My son is now 22 and I wanted to give him something special for his birthday. That is why I bought this book. I wrote a special message inside the cover and when everyone was busy with cake and celebrating I put it in his room. I know it must have hit a special place in his heart because he passed on going out with his friends that night and stayed home with mom. I just hope he doesnt ask me to read it to him again now that I'm older I wont be able to keep a dry eye.
This is a wonderful book and a great way to start a family memory.

Long ago as a child myself, I seen this book in a toy store. I found the cover humorous and decided to read it, well it was cute, it was touching and it brought tears to my eyes at the end. Well later on I had a baby boy, and from the moment I seen his eyes, I understood, "I love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." I pushed it back and back on getting it, but when in a books store I looked for it, never to see it again. years later my son 5 now, I ran across the poem online and had to have itso I ordered it, and being he understands it he loves the book, especially since he is a mama's boy, and he at times will read along with me. though it does bring questions that have answers he isn't ready for, especially of mommy getting old, he still knows when i sing the main versus of the book, it comes from my heart directly to him. This book is touching and worth rebuying even if it were lost a million times.

This book was one that I used to read to my children when they were little, and had not seen a copy in about 15 years. Needless to say, I was delighted when I saw this offered by the seller, and the price was irresistible. I purchased 2 of them, one for each of my children.

The book explains how a mother's love is unconditional no matter what her children do to get themselves in trouble. The line that was repeated in the book, "I love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." has stuck with me all these years. Now that my children are grown and out on their own, they still remember this book and that one line. This is a book that creates good memories. We have never forgotten it.

The seller was top-knotch and responded quickly when asked a question. The books were in excellent condition. Shipping was fast.

MY SON AND I"S RELATIONSHIP HAS NOT BEEN GOOD FOR A WHILE, ONE MORNING I WAS PRAYING AND THOUGHT OF THAT LITTLE BOOK.I DECIDED THAT IS THE WAY OUR RELATIONSHIP SHOULD BE.THAT IS WHEN I TRIED TO FIND IT ON EBAY,I DID!I GOT THE BOOK WROTE ON THE INSIDE, THIS IS THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE, WHY WAS IT NOT. WONDERFUL GOOD FEELING BOOK GET ONE!WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE BOOK IT HAD A HEART FELT STORY OF LOVE BETWEEN A MOTHER AND CHILD. THERE WAS NOTHING I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT IT!

Love You Forever is a book I read to my boys when they were small. Never did I read this book without tears. I always sang the lines, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always. As love as I'm living, my baby you'll be." Those boys I mentioned are now 29 and 27 years old. Love You Forever is now a tradition that is being passed on to my grandchildren. The theme never grows old, just as a mother's love never grows old...it just grows.
