Loveless - Vol. 1: Lost and Found (DVD, 2006)

I won't lie. This series is pretty complex, and requires an open, intelligent mind to fully appreciate its originality and excellent quality.
The core of the story is solid. Once you get deeper into the series and begin to understand the characters and their motivations. If you're a Psychology-lover like me, you'll gobble these books right up, guaranteed.

Yun Kouga is a genius of an author who writes with a flourish that no one else could pull off. I've read many of her works and each was thought-provoking and entertaing.
Loveless, I admit, is by far her best series.

It's multi genre, comprised of romance, humor, angst, drama, mystery and action. You want it, loveless has got it. Forbidden love, mysterious characters, thrilling plot twists, cliffhangers, tear-jerking love stories, and a delicious touch of the cutesy, humorous naivety that comes with the younger characters.

If you've read the books you will enjoy the animation in a way that cannot be described. To see these characters come to life is absolutely breathtaking. The voice acting and sound-effects are top quality and accentuate the series perfectly. The anime, unfortunately ends only half-way through the series that the book covers but I was surprised at how well it stood alone.
I recommend this series to everyone with an open mind and a sharp sense of humor.

One of my favorite animes ever-but I really love the manga the most. The anime is really great. Its with english subs-so any it isn't for those of us who don't like to read subtitles. This is the first part of a 3 parts series. Poor Ritsuka Kun is a boy who's life is sad and lonely. After his brother "died" His mother became abusive-and beats him through out the series. His brother was his best friend and the only one who protected him from his crazy mother. After he lost his brother he supressed a lot of memories, and seemed to change into a different person. Along comes Soubi (the most beautiful anime boy ever). He brings excitement and something like "love" to poor Ritsuka Kun's life. This has got to be my favorite anime/manga ever. And is so worth watching for any anime fans. Even if you don't like yaoi-this anime/manga is totally awsome. It only has a few light yaoi moments in it-and they are cute.
I decided to buy this anime because I had watched it on youtube a thousand times and still couldn't get enough-and I always thought that the first few episodes were my faves. Still I want to collect the other two DVDs.
There isn't any thing that I didn't like about this series at all.

I have to say that this Loveless DVD is an absolute must for any Loveless fan. Not only has it stayed true to the original manga (only about one or two things are changed or added) but it truly captures Ritsuka's and Soubi's character magnificantly.

for a Yaoi anime this has a lot of story with it. the story flows well, no sudden story leaps.the drawings are beautiful and the series is well developed. yummy boy on boy seen's. the only thig is i wish there were more movies to the series. if you like gravitation youll love this one.

This anime is wonderful. The story flows, the characters go well together, and the way it's drawn is excellent. The anime is NOT IN ENGLISH. It hasn't been dubbed yet, but the translations are very nice. No guessing here and there about the translation, it's very clear. I definatly recommend it!
