His latest work, The Lucky One will be touted by readers as one of his best works. Sparks main character in The Lucky One is ex-marine, Logan Thibault. Logan has served three tours of duty in Iraq and believes his survival is due to a lucky picture he found of an unknown woman. Once he arrives in North Carolina, he takes a job at a dog training facility where he meets Nana, the elderly owner of the facility, Elizabeth, her granddaughter and her young son, Ben. Elizabeth, he discovers is the woman in his lucky picture.

The storyline stays true and builds to an exciting climax. There are stories within this story that adds story interest. Sparks knows how to build a story and keep a reader anxiously turning pages.

The Lucky One is another great love story by Nicholas Sparks. In this book, Sparks creates a love triangle between Beth, the single mom, Logan, the Iraqi war vet, and Clayton, the ex-husband to Beth.

Clayton is a horrible man and father, and when he thinks Beth might become involved with Logan, he threatens to destroy them. The ending is quite suspensful and satisfying. I do think too much of the middle is associated with Logan and Beth falling in love. At times it became quite tedious.

Overall, this is one of Sparks' best books and I recommend to anyone.

Nicholas Sparks has a gift for storytelling. This book will not dissapoint. As you read the book you visualise every detail. Although i have not finished it so far i will say read it. The story is about a soilder who returns from war with a picture he found. He believes that it has bought him luck. When returning back to the states he is in search of this mysterious woman who is in the picture... I dont want to spoil it but the suprises come in early.

I collect all of Nicholas Sparks hardcover first edition books. His books are always a treasure and enjoyable. Super quick reads and I'm a slow reader. Love his novels.
