Lunar: The Silver Star (Sega CD, 1993)

This game is base in the dark ago, where dragons roam the world and heros is still need it. The game is set after the heros has pass alway and who will follow in the heros foot steps. When there is no heros to be found evil is rosing up once again from the darkness in people heart!

When you play this game you could use magie, fight and run. Just like a real RPG. It have anime sence and it talk in the import part of the game or you have to read it.

This game is the frist of the LUNAR serios for sega cd and you could do alot of thicks in this game to win. It is easy or hard depant on how you play and if you use any thicks at all. The thick you will find out when you play this game for sega cd.
The remake of this game had taked the tricks out and it is so hard to win and to get money and other things. But they had add the story on in the remake and it is easy to solve the clue and whos whos the sega cd don't tall you whos whos you need to find out your self. You only could do the tricks On the sega cd!

In a few more years 2 come this game for the sega cd will became ( VERY RARE GAME ON THE SEGA CD) In the out door market this game cost about $100 dollar to buy and it is hard to find any of the game with out a sreatch on the cd it self. If you are luckly to win this game on E BAY around $25 to $50 dollars with light sreatch it very good.

I hope you like this game LUNAR as a RPG because when i play it the frist time i fall in love with the RPG game. I do not like RPG at frist because i have to read and it was no fun at all but i start playing it i start liking the RPG game more and more. Now I try alot of RPG games and it start me on read books.

I think that RPG games help people to get into reading. I got into reading books because of RPG games. And this LUNAR SILVER STAR for sega cd is a good RPG to start for your Kids or you and i will get you into more RPG game or reading books also well!!!

So asked you self is this game is a good RPG for you or not!
it is easy in some way but the story line is very hard to find out whes whos. If you get the remake one for saturn of PS 2 you find out the easy alway by the story line they tell you and it loose it the fun to find out what happen to the person in the past!

IF you love to slove clues get the sega CD luner silver star than if you con't solve the cule buy the saturn or the ps 2 one they tell you flat out in your faces!

Pretty much everything Working Designs made was excellent. This game is no different. One of the timeless games for the Sega CD.

Many of the games for the sega CD are considered by most, pretty bad. After all, this was new technology 20 years ago. This game, however, is worth having if you love RPGs. Sega sticks to the basics when it comes to this game and that is what makes it good. A classic, turned base RPG with a good storyline. Enough said. If you are a classic RPG gamers who loves the Phantasy Star series, then this is for you.

Great RPG made for the Sega CD. The lunar games ofn the Sega CD were one of its strengths. Great reason to own a Sega CD.

Lunar: The Silver Star is a must-have game for any Sega CD owner. It was probably the single best experience I had on my SegaCD. I hope you get the same experience out of it too.


PROS:
-Storyline is second to few
-Gameplay is in the tradition of standard JRPGs like Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger
-Diversity of weapons and armor pickups are enjoyable
-Audio is first-class and done in Q-Sound...a function of having a CD drive in a 16-bit era
-Characters are interesting
-The summation of all keeps you coming back for more.

CONS:
-Like most JRPGs, after you beat it once, there's little to go back for. It's like watching a good movie. It'll be awhile before you want to watch it again.
-Nothing else that I can think of.
