Movie synopsis

Robert Altman's film was brought to the small screen in 1972, and forever changed the face of television. Successfully combining both drama and comedy into a half-hour format, the show took place in the volatile setting of a military hospital just outside Seoul during the Korean War. With an extensive ensemble cast and finely-drawn characters, the show functioned as political satire and sitcom, while achieving a level of very humane drama rarely seen on TV, with ever-evolving characters who learn from their mistakes and are rarely if ever reduced to "types." In this season, Radar is sent home and the hospital is in chaos without him. Klinger takes over his job, assuming more responsibility with often disastrous results as he tries to adjust to his new position. BJ is tempted to have an affair with a beautiful war correspondent, and the doctors must find a home for an orphan of mixed race. Other episodes include "Too Many Cooks," "Nurse Doctor," "Life Time," and "Morale Victory."

M*A*S*H will make you roll in your seat one minute and tug at your heart the next. The writers have created a way to show the serious side of war, along with the methods that professionals deal with the stress and chaos of it all.

You can't go wrong with this one.

M*A*S*H DVD

I used to watch M*A*S*H all the time when it was running on TV. Now I get to see the reruns every once in a while. I don't appreciate the advertisement during the shows and much rather watch without interruption. I am in the process to complete my M*A*S*H collection.

M*A*S*H* - A- Riffic!

A favorite season, among many, of the series. Hated to see Radar go then, and hated seeing it again. But also, loved seeing it again. Larry Gelbert et. al. pull at the heart-strings, the character, and the funny bone of this vintage sitcom collector.

MASH - Season 8

Excellent season. Took on some serious subjects to ponder, yet with the ususal humor. Major Hoolahan is coming into herself, but I do miss Radar. As always, well written and well done.
