Mac and Me (DVD, 2005)

If your into watching horrible movies, like I am, this is one you cant miss. It might perhaps, be the worst movie I have ever seen. This movie is a blatant rip-off of E.T. no two ways about it. It was essentially made to capitalize off E.T.'s success and to promote McDonald's and Coke products (see random 5-min dance scene @ McDonalds if you need further convincing) Its worthwhile noting that during the a particular scene where "MAC" (Mysterious Alien Creature.....it has nothing to do with McDonalds Big Mac......) is drinking a Coca-Cola, the director (Stewart Raffill) holds up four $100 bills in the background. Its more like a large, badly done, 90-min commercial. Frankly it is far below "Average" i just gave it that b/c I enjoy watching bad movies from time to time.

The movie MAC & ME is an older movie and reminds me a little of E.T. It's a cute family movie for all ages. I had never seen the movie until recently and i feel that the movie is fairly average. HOWEVER, this movie was a childhood favorite of my husbands & so he just absolutly loves it and insisted that we get it for our daughter! Mac & Me stars an adorable and sweet little alien character (like E.T.) who trys to find his family and get back home, but his personality can be quite humorous at times (in a childlike sort of way). It's cute, but I personaly wouldn't watch is over and over like my husband would.

I love this movie! I saw it as a child, and now my two children are getting to enjoy it as well. We sat as a family and watched the movie numerous times already. My husband even enjoyed seeing it!

The 1980's hold the crown for some of the most bizarre movies. Although the idea of an alien society visiting Earth isn't the most original story ever told, I think this movie is worth the watch. The special effects are cheesy, the child actors would never measure up to todays young talent, and the production is undoubtedly 80's. However, I think it's the combination of these things that make this movie entertaining. Mac is hysterically funny looking!!! I saw this when I was a kid and now as an adult, its one of those movies that I never forgot about.

a very good family movie that everyone can enjoy. i watched it when i was a little girl and now my kids watch it and love it!!
