Solid putter for newer golfers
Created: 03/10/07
This putter has great feel and is easy to set up at address. The shape of the putter is pleasing to the eye- a nice, triangular shape that makes you feel like you can't miss the sweet spot. The multi-metal material that Bobby Grace uses gives his putters a crisp, distinct feel that many others (like Bettinardi and Cameron) can not match.
Although there are other good putters out there, I am a fan of Grace and his putters. The M5K putter is great for me because the head is smaller than other MOI putters but still feels heavy and well-balanced. This putter is great for a straight-back, straight-through stroke. I use a blade putter as well, and although I do use an arched putting stroke- inside to inside- this putter works very well.
This putter is not my primary putter, but the first time I used it I putted well. I recommend this putter to newer golfers who would like help with a solid, consistent putting stroke. Bobby Grace putters are top-notch- any of his putters will work out well.

I really like how this club feels when i'm putting nice response and easy to keep on line due to the interchangeable weights. It is kind of hard to get use to but with practice i noticed that i started to make more putts than with my Odyssey DF552 blade. This putter is even great for the rough around the greens and fringe.
I decided to buy this because of the center shaft design and the mallet style head. I found after playing for years with a blade i wasn't really all that good with them.

This is the center shafted version. The Be/Cu face has a great feel and gives decent distance control. The long site line makes it easy to aim. I also have a heel shafted M6.4K and find the smaller head easier to aim. I miss fewer short putts with this putter.

It is becoming harder and harder to find info on this club online. Just know this: it has won the pros a lot of tours over the years. Some inserts are harder to find than others (the becu copper being the most common). This is a straight back straight-thru putter. They hold up well so no matter the condition, you should get something playable. Enjoy.

With the shaft lined up in the center, I find that I use a straighter motion while putting. I have really minimized my pushing and pulling of putts. I am still trying to get used to the speed. I had never used a metal face and the ball just comes off of it so clean. The added weight will take some getting used to as well. I got the long 36" shaft so I am less hunched over and I think I like that better. I just seem to have a lot more confidence putting right now and can only see it getting better.
