Mad Maestro is Mad Simple...Yo

Created: 11/11/08
As a rhythm based game, this not the most challenging or the most addicting but it is solid and original in the way that it focuses on classical music. The visuals are nothing to brag about but they are still entertaining and the gameplay is good. What makes this game different from others is that the game is based on the amount of pressure you press on the buttons.Sadly, this game becomes to easy real quick and it even has child mode (unnecessary really). It does have a great list of songs though. Unless you like classical music AND rhythm games, you don't need this game.

Interesting and fun for those who like music games

Mad Maestro was never hyped up during its release, so it's virtually unknown. But it's still an interesting game if you have a taste for Bemani type games.

Gameplay is easy in theory but still somewhat difficult for some. You push the buttons at three different pressures to signify the volume of the notes (soft, medium, and hard). Occasionally you'll be required to push a directional button at the same time. Overall not hard to understand, but the gameplay may take some getting used to.

The songs are classical, so if you don't like that type of music I suggest you stay away from this game. Graphics are mediocre as well, but seeing at that aspect is not the focus of the game, the simple blocky graphics are fine.

If it's not too expensive, then it wouldn't hurt to buy or rent this game. Just don't spend too much, cause it probably wouldn't be worth your money.

It's mildly entertaining

Created: 04/03/09
This game is amusing at first but after about four to five times of playing it you kind of get the hang of it and it loses all appeal. It's nothing like guitar hero although many people discribe it this way. The only thing that makes it similar is that it plays to music. the pressure sensitive controler makes it very easy to press either to hard or to soft so it's hard to get a decent score. the graphics on the game screen are 5 out of 10 .

A little bit difficult

Created: 09/01/07
This game was purchased for my 8 year old daughter who has an interest in music, but no formal lessons. It was a little bit difficult for her to catch on, but she enjoyed the graphics and concept enough to keep trying. It would probably be more enjoyable for someone with musical background.
