Madden NFL 2005 (Xbox, 2004)

I haven't played 06 version so I am basing this off previous versions but I think EA sports did a great job with this one.

One thing I look for in a sports sim is not just game play but managing ability too. This game truly combines the two. Whether you like just playing or managing a team to build a dynasty - this game has it all.

Game play is great. The control of the players and the in game play is just unbeatable and the commentating is pretty decent (doesn't get too repetitious as other games do).

Managing - this is where EA excels. As a coach you have complete control on salary cap, drafting, free agents, training, recruiting and trades. I was a bit dissapointed on how easy it is to trade draft pick for draft pick. If you are a good team you can trade your 1st round with a bad team and get a higher pick in the draft. You will just enjoy the control you have over almost every aspect of the coaching realm.

IMHO - One true test is how addictive a game is even months after you buy it and this is one such game. I continue to play it and enjoy it even a year after buying it.

I highly recommend this game and if 06 is anything better go get that one. For the bargain shoppers 05 will server your needs and then some.

First let me say Thank you to Ebay. With their search engine I was able to find Madden 2005 for my 6 year old son. He loves sports and football is like on the top of his list. He currently have over 12 football, small, medium and large(full size). He is currently in 1st grade. And he had most of the 2000 series Madden. Somehow 2005 got damaged and he really like that one, so, as I was on Ebay, I found it, I bided on it, and the end result...I WON IT.

I have found so many thing on Ebay, I will continue to use it for everything that I am looking for and even for thing that I did not realize that I wanted.

You like football? You like video games? Then you will love Madden NFL. But you can love it just as much on playstation or regular XBOX. Its really not that much different a game from system to system. So, I say YES to the game and NO to the xbox 360. Don’t buy the 360 just to play Madden, if you just want to play Madden, play it on playstation or regular XBOX. Regardless of what game system you play Madden on, it’s the best game available to play. If you like football, and you like video games, this is the best way to go. Nothing beats Madden. I play it on playstation all the time and love it online or against the computer.

The game is kind of complicated. You must understand the game of football to really get good at this game. But the game has lots of features in it that makes the game that much more real. If you dont know the game well i would'nt buy it , but if you love the game like i do you will love it

I bought this game for my nephew. Whom my brother is trying to get away from violent games. This is perfect. My nephew is a big sports fan and has loved this game since I gave it to him for Christmas. Came in new and has been worth every penny I spent plus some. My nephew has given it a 2 thumbs and 2 big toes up for it.
