Movie Focuses more on downside and less on up

This is an interesting "biography" of Gandhiji, aka Mohandas K. Gandhi aka Mahatma Gandhi. It does shed light on some details that were less "hollywood" than the Richard Atkinson movie with Ben Kingsley, but overall, it tries to fit too much history into only one hour, AND it harps a bit too much on the things that didn't work out for Gandhiji in his efforts to create a unified India. I have followed Ganhiji for most of my life, and I felt sorry for him at the end of this movie, when his life and work taken as a WHOLE would leave anyone feeling anything BUT sorry for him. It is a bit one-sided, although it has the advantage of at least showing the insurmountable odds that Gandhi was up against, and the courage and leadership of a man undaunted by the odds. If anyone is truly interested in Gandhi's life and work, they would do better to watch the Atkinson and READ (omg! READ???) his own words and those by the people who were closest to him during his time as a Satyagrahi and political mastermind.
