Singer and leader Benny More (1919-1963) introduced jazz orchestrations to Cuban rhythms.More, "El Barbaro del Ritmo," was one of the greatest soneros of Cuba's '50s golden age. Like New York's Tito Rodriguez, he was not only a dynamic sonero but a fine bolero singer. He's perhaps the only Latin singer to have had an entire book written about him.
