For a long time Karen & Gary haven't seen things eye to eye.Their marriage is falling apart, and Karen is realizing she is getting older, and things arn't getting better, and all she wants is to be noticed and feel love.Bill is a janitor who works nights, at the job place of Gary.Bill started to listen to a tape about dreams and realizes he can control his own dreams. When he starts dreaming he gets things mixed up with reality, and starts to make you wonder if he is the huy he seems to be.Meanwhile Gary takes on drinking and sleeping pills to numb the pain or arguing with his wife.Karen reaches her breaking point and steals from a store and gets caught. Bill becomes preoccupied with his pretty neighbor, Sadie and her abusive relationship (in his dreams, Bill saves Sadie from her attacker). A senseless tragedy forces these isolated individuals to face their fears once and for all.
