Movie synopsis

In Mel Gibson's directorial debut, THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE, Chuck Nordstadt (Nick Stahl) has idealized the memory of his deceased fighter pilot father so much that he dreams of one day walking in his footsteps by attending military school. When he fails the entrance exam at his father's alma mater, Chuck asks former teacher Justin McLeod (Mel Gibson), a disfigured recluse living in the coastal village where Chuck and his family are vacationing, to help tutor him. Chuck and McLeod develop a special friendship that helps both to overcome their tragic, difficult pasts.

This is one of those feel good movies you won't get tired of watching. Mel Gibson is simply amazing. I really enjoyed watching this film as it has so many good messages throughout and felt very realistic. Very emotional situations. Once you warm up to Mel's true character you realize just how special he is. It's about changing lives and never giving up. The actor who played the main boy (Nick Stahl) was also amazing. Highly recommended!

An enjoyable and interesting movie. Filmed on an island in Maine that I have actually visited making it even more intriguing. The home belonged to my sister in law at the time. Great plot and great performances.

This is a wonderful movie.
It's shows that looks don't make the person and how the innocence of a child is a beautiful thing!
One of Mel's best!
A heart touching movie!
A movie for the whole family and one I highly recommend!
