| This is the game that will finally settle those arguments about who is tougher, Ryu or Wolverine. There are five modes of play: Battle, Versus, Training, Hero Battle, and Crossover. Battle and Versus are your typical one and two-player fighting game modes, while Hero Battle is an endurance mode that separates the groups to see which has the stronger stable of fighters. There are 17 combatants available, nine from STREET FIGHTER and eight from the Marvel camp. This game is a port of the arcade hit of the same name and features the type of gameplay that has made Capcom one of the most respected developers of fighting games on the planet. Expect plenty of dragon punches, fireballs, and huge chain combinations as you pit your favorite characters from these two franchises against each other. | |

What I think of this game

One of the best games I have ever played, it's what got me into the Marvel vs. Capcom series and the primary reason why I like it so much. It's a great buy, not to mention a very rare item to even find here on eBay. This particular game is a favorite in my fighting game list, i'd have to say i'd give a solid 9.9 on gameplay and a 8.5 on graphic engine as well as a 10 by 10 on character list.

) A classic fighting game that never gets old. The only downside to the PSX version is the lack of tag team fighting, but still this is one of the best games Capcom has put out. Can u master all the fighters and unlock Cyber Akuma? Pick up a copy and see for yourself. Great gameplay, crisp colors, smooth animation.

in my opinion this was the best game made for the play station 1 system....all of the story line one player games get borring...but these 2d combat/ versus games will never go out of style

What's not to love about these cross-brand fighters? These games draw money on ebay due to the high replay value. Whether your a kid just discovering the franchise, or you are an adult reliving the days of the arcade, all of these games are fun to play head to head or a pickup game when you've got time to kill.
Good but not as good as the saturn or arcade

Yes i know this game might suck to some people but think about it! It is not the same as the Saturn or arcade version but still is fun.
The good:) well noticeable improvements that masked the limitations of the PlayStation hardware. Animation was improved over the previous installment and sound was not glitchy any more
The bad:( Due to the limited RAM of the PlayStation only 2 unique characters in one battle can be used to switch. For instance Captain America and Spider-Man would face off against Spider-Man and Captain America.
The game is F*** N expensive just look!!
who should get this? well any one who is a fan of Marvel Super Heroes or street fighter. People with money & people who like fighting games.
