    Graphics: 4/5
The graphics are very good in this game. The 3D art style transposed to a 2D game is once again well done by Capcom. The frame rate and the smoothness of this game is very impressive, which is key in a fighting game. I went into the game with low expectations (considering that the last MvC game was released 10 years ago). The in-game rendering, images, and colors really put you into the game. It moves so fast that you really don’t see the flaws unless you are looking for them. The most interesting thing that this game does well are the special aerial-combos and the tag animations, and the animations of the hyper combos (especially a level 3 finish). The shadows, lighting effects, and motions are good, and get you into the game. The charm is the comic art style, yet it is not as detailed as Super Street Fighter 4.

    Sound: 5/5
What gives this game a 4/5 in the sound department is the soundtrack, the speech, and the sound effects. A lot of care and love went into making sure there was an impact when hits were made. The voice acting is superb and it really brings back the days of the arcade from Marvel vs. Capcom 1 + 2.

    Controls: 5/5
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is easy to pick up and play if you are new to the fighting genre, yet deep enough that you can make it as complex (for you veterans) as you wish. As an example, let’s compare the control schemes between Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Street Fighter 4. Having a Tournament Edition stick from the release of Street Fighter 4, it is the same layout and button configuration as the MvC3 Tournament Edition stick. In using this stick with this game, I am starting to prefer using the standard controller that comes with the system. You can tell the developers wanted as much adoption as possible to this game, and made it nice with the button layout and intuitive to use, especially in the heat of the moment. I must say that compared to a traditional fighting game, the standard controller may be better than the fight stick, and is the way to go for this title – however, it is up to the users preference.

    Gameplay: 4/5
Let me start by saying that when playing this game with a friend, there is nothing better. I have logged in 6 hours so far in the game, and only stopped because of work and sleep. This is a fun multiplayer game. However, if you have to go it solo, this is still a fun experience. This game can be completed in about 4-8 hours (depending on skill level and difficulty setting) to unlock everything, but it is an enjoyable experience. It is a through back to some fun gaming without the serious overtones found in many games. The reason it isn’t perfect is because playing online can sometimes be brutal, especially if new to the scene.

    Replay Value – 5/5
This is a great game, and a fun game, to play. The game is not too serious, and an awesome title that has been 10 years in the making. Though it is a shift from the standard fighting genre and control layout (as well as complexity), it is a must have in my book. All this being said, this was an enjoyable playing experience, especially in co-op mode/on-line mode, to play... and I have many more hours that I know I am going to invest in this title. All I can say is that if you disregarded this game because of it being a fighting game, or the because of the new control scheme, please take anothe

    Awesome game.....!!!

Come on, I Love this game... The Graphics itself coming from the MT Framework engine from capcom, the gameplay always faithful to the Marvel vs. Capcom series. The game features the same tag-based team feature as previous installments of the series, where each player chooses three characters that can be swapped at any point during a match, and utilizes an order selection called "Evolved Vs. Fighting System", a modified version of earlier systems seen in other Marvel vs. Capcom and SNK vs. Capcom games. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 features a single-player arcade mode that is more robust than its predecessors. Players will use their team of three characters to defeat a series of AI-controlled opponents before battling the game's final boss, Galactus; each character has their own unique ending sequence, which they earn upon completion of Arcade Mode. Marvel stated that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is "all about fan service", and worked with Capcom to include dialogue quips and mid-match events between the company's characters that reference past Marvel Comics storylines. The game features new and returning characters to the Marvel vs. Capcom series, with accompanying promotional artwork by Capcom artist Shinkiro. The full retail roster features 36 characters. Two additional characters have been announced as downloadable content. Returning characters have distinct changes: Hulk can now perform steady air combos, Captain America's shield hits back on the return after being thrown, Ryu is able to aim his Shinku Hadouken, Iron Man can fire his Proton Cannon at a 45° angle, and Jill Valentine has a new set of moves based on her appearance in Resident Evil 5. Characters confirmed by Ryota Niitsuma to be absent from Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds have so far included the monsters Tyrant and Nemesis of the Resident Evil series, citing concerns that their inclusion would change the game's content rating, as well as the primary members of Marvel's Fantastic Four, who were excluded at the company's suggestion.[21] Dead Rising protagonist Frank West, who appeared as a playable character in the previous Capcom Vs. title, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, was slated to return in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but was removed late during development because of the extra work required due to the nature of his moves.[22] Niitsuma also planned to include the Silver Surfer, but his team could not find a way to incorporate his signature surfboard into the fighting engine; they considered adding him without it, but decided that he would look too similar to Iceman. Mega Man was also ruled out in favor of Zero to represent the franchise as Niitsuma felt Zero had more variation in his moves. Niitsuma stated that original characters from Marvel vs. Capcom 2, such as Amingo and Ruby Heart, would not appear.[25] Marvel allowed writer Frank Tieri full use of their library of characters for storyline purposes; several non-playable characters such as the Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, and Man-Thing would make cameo appearances in the stages and endings.

An Acquired Taste For Committed Players

    Created: 03/04/11
I bought this game with some skepticism. I didn't like the art style or the character roster, but I loved the first two MvC games so I indulged. Frankly, it's a major disappointment.

This game is riddled with flaws, the online modes are shoddy, half the characters are overpowered or broken, control responsiveness fluctuates too severely in online play, any noteworthy bonus content can only be obtained by paying for DLC, the learning curve is ridiculous, the CPU plays like the cheapest human opponents on a whim, one mistake/misfire can screw your whole match and for whatever reason, the more I play this game, the worse I get at it!

If you have the kind of dedication to devote hours and hours to using a specific 3-man team and learning their longest, most damaging trap combos, you can tolerate the massive control response fluctuations and you don't mind the severe lack of diversity in online opponents who will either spam their way to victory or rage-quit when on the receiving end, then this is probably the ideal game for you.

If you prefer a fighter that you can pick up now & again and still improve without making it a major part of your life: in other words, if you play to have fun rather than win, avoid this rubbish and buy a better fighter like Super Street Fighter IV. This one's for fanatics only!

    Graphics: 4/5
    Sound: 5/5
    Controls: 5/5
    Gameplay: 4/5

    Overall: 4/5

    Pros:
    Fights are intense and challenging.
Diverse cast of recognizable or famous characters.
    Wonderfully created characters.
Backgrounds and animations very detailed and play to yo visiually.
Online play seemed smoothe with no glitches.
Simple/Easy mode is great for beginners or those who just wanna jump in without the tutorials.

    Cons:
    Multiplayer lacks replay.
Mission mode has no key training tools so you can be lost.
    No cheats as of yet.
Game was a little short to complete but offers enough to replay time and again.

My bottom line here is that this is a good game. This is awesome is you were a fan of the old, original two. I'm glad we bought this one and don't regret the $50 price! Offers hours of entertainment and challenges. This game is updated while keeping the sincerety of the first two!

This is an excellent game, the graphics are amazing, the scenarios and the combos are brilliant, the mission mode is also interesting, the only low point is the character selections, some are questionable, but most of the popular heroes and villains are here,I strongly recommend this game.
