Mary Kay Mineral Foundation

I don't wear much make up on my face - just some concealer and powder to even out my skin tone and take away shine. This powder foundation does both, and provides more coverage than a regular powder. It gives me a nice even skin tone without a heavily made up look. I also have very sensitive skin and this product has never bothered my skin. I honestly never thought I would wear Mary Kay - I buy my makeup at department stores usually - but once I tried it through a friend I was hooked. I think it's a good product at a fair price.

I have used Mary Kay in place of other higher priced mineral foundation. It is same quality and I don't think it emphasises the fine lines and wrinkles as much as some of the higher priced one. But I believe you will see this with any powder foundation. I love the light weight of a mineral powder over liquid foundation. Mary Kay products have always been great but with my sensitive skin, I needed the mineral products. I was so happy when they came out with mineral foundations, eyeshadows, etc.

I like Mary Kay products, and I was needing a new foundation, so I decided to try their mineral powder foundation. I have dry skin, and it's kind of red, so I was a little concerned that it may dry out my skin and/or not cover the redness. Well, It doesn't seem to dry my skin, and it feels really soft. But, it doesn't cover so well. I HAVE to use the Mary Kay concealer first in order to be rid of the redness and have an even skin tone. Also, tends to accentuate any flaws (visible pores) that I have. I'm pretty disappointed to be honest. :( I'm going to keep playing with it; try different application brushes, etc. and see if I can't get my money's worth out of it. Fortunately I bought it for about half off because I purchased it on Ebay! On the other hand, had I purchased it for full price through an MK rep, I could get my money back or exchange it for a different type of foundation. Oh well...live and learn!

LOVE: simple and fast .. great coverage.. light on the face but doesn't "melt" in the heat like when i wear liquid

LIKE: can use it over liquid foundation to give it more depth

DISLIKE: .. cant think of anything right now..

I've been wearing mary kay for around 12 years.. when the mineral powder foundation came out i was so excited because i knew that being a mary kay product it would be very high quality.. also like most mary kay products.. it's well worth the money because mary kay last about 3 times as long (or more) as most other brands (and that i've proved personally).. $12-$15 for 3m's of foundation.. compared to the $10 for just a month of another particular brand and it's quality is not nearly as good

I have used off brands of mineral powder before and nothing comes close to Mary Kay. After using Mary Kay for a couple years now, I will never go back to using the other brands I have used. I HIGHLY recommend trying the Mary Kay mineral foundation!! It makes your skin look so soft and natural looking!
