) Matilda is one resourceful little girl with very interesting powers. Her family is selfish, selfabsorbed, while ignoring her. I like the movie because she finds a better life in books, friends, and learning. She uses her special gifts to right the wrongs wrought by dishonest and callous adults. Funny, fast paced, and touching.

I bought this movie because my grandson asked for it but, after watching it with him, I found that I enjoyed it as much as he did. It has a very sweet heroine in Matilda and villains galore including, but not limited to, Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman. This is a good movie to teach children acceptance of their differences.
