Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne (Xbox, 2003)

The Fall of Max Payne is not as good as the first Max Payne but is still a great game
Max Payne 2 is a great game, but it seems to have something missing in it. The game has a great story just like the first one, which is a good reason to play it, but the gameplay seems to have something missing from the first one.

Gameplay seems to be the same right away but they changed the controls around for the better, which now lets you enter and exit bullet time a lot faster. The Bullet time seems to be very close to the first one, but when you enter it, you run a lot faster than the enemies, the dodging in the game seems to be a little weird, I moves faster and you don’t seem to hit the enemies as much. The Guns in the game are great, there are more in this one then in the first one. But they sound really bad, they just don’t sound anything like the real thing. The Damage the guns deal to the enemies is a lot less then they did in the first one, but when they die in this one they enter rag doll, and its pretty funny to see what happens. The story like the first one is deep and a great story overall, and leaves you wanting more and more from it.

Graphics feel a little dated maybe because of its 2003 release, but they just don’t look right. The animations on the characters are great, they run pretty realistically, and move really well. Max Payne’s character model looks a lot different because this is sometime after the first game, but his jacket looks like its solid. The sound in the game, is pretty good the voice acting is great, and it actually tells the story in cut scenes which are graphic novel pages. The guns sound really lame, and don’t sound like they pack the punch they should.

Overall if you really enjoyed the first one this one will seem sort of a disappointment, but is still a great game like the first. If you like third person games then this is one you should try out.

ok first of all this is a great shooter, in my opinion better than the previous one in everyway. tons of new features plus you'll get to play as Mona Sax too, a murderous hottie with no sense of humor that has Max head over heels for her. the only thing that keeps this great game from getting a perfect score is the fact that is too short, it'll leave you craving for more action. i played for about 8 hours straight and beated it (i didn't rush thru it, i took my time and enjoyed the game). but no game is perfect, with that said this is a must have in your collection!.

A violent, Film Noir love story between a cop and a femme fatale murder suspect, between Max Payne and Mona Sax. Dark, tragic and intense, the story is a thrill-ride of shocking twists and revelations. it works really well. the story is good. the graphics are decent. overall fun to play.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game from beginning to end. In fact, I played it so much when I first got it, that I beat it in just 2 days! The game is by no means short in length, but I certainly had an addiction. The bullet time is great and the enemies have a lot of character to them. I was hooked for the longest time. I even have saves where I can go back and replay the most fun parts again. I would recommend this game to those who enjoyed The Matrix game and to fans of all 3rd person shooters. Also, once you get the sniper rifle, make sure to aim with the scope and go in bullet time when you shoot an enemy - you get an awesome camera angle where the camera follows the bullet. I was amazed at how much fun this proved to be while I was toying with the enemies. This game is truly another excellent work by Rockstar!

This is a great third person's shooting game, this game has a pretty big variety of weapons to choose from, a great storyline that glues you into the game even more, and the best of all bullet time( bullet dodging in slow motion). I bought max payne 2 because i had such a great time max payne 1, that i had to get 2 and try it out. a highly recommeded game.
