Written from her own point of view - the book is mostly benign chatter - kind of - then we went here and then we did this and that - many photos throughout the book - could have been a lot more depth given that she knew so many interesting people - Howard Hughes, Spencer Tracy, Cary Grant and other greats of Hollywood. For light easy reading - any age - it works. As a long time admirer of her acting skills I didn't feel I knew her any better when I finished the book.
Want to read a book about that era that really lays it on the line - try Shelley Winters who reveals heart and soul in her two books.

) This is a FIRST edition written in large print to facilitate reading. It is a wonderful autobiography by one of the most revered actresses of all time. There are personal passages as well as photos, as one experiences the dream of vicariously knowing a true legend and her journey through life, including her relationship with Spencer Tracey. Highly recommended for those of us using "readers" as well as any those of us truly interested in the background of these wonderful stars.

I love that Katharine is so honest & open. If you have ever seen a personal interview with her, it is very much the same. She writes the way she speaks.
The reason I decided to buy this book is I am a huge fan of her acting. I also loved the fact that she wrote it herself.

) I bought this book for my grandaughter. She love Katharine Hepburn as much as I do. She will be thrilled to get it in her next package I send her. I have one just like it that I payed much more for and she has asked to read it. I thought it would be nice for her to have one of her very own and was so pleased when it came in like new condtion. Thank You very much for wrapping it so carefully. It looked great. Cover was even like new and so many pictures of the actress. Great reading for anyone. So much history of times gone by in this book. Glad I bought it.

I haven't finished reading the book. Condition and cover are excellent. Was stated it was a first edition when in fact it is a 9th printing in 1991. Good thing I am not an avid book collector.
