The Best Addition to the EA - Medal Of Honor series

    Created: 22/02/09
The reviews are all true , that this addition to the MOH Series is great. If you play FPS games , and prefer the intimate battles that are carried on as an infantryman , this game has - just that. Being that the game doesn't have vehicles to run around in galore and is based on infantry play alone , it can compete with COD2.

The addition of being able to adjust your parachute and drop into the battlefield area as a paratrooper adds alot of extra playability. Secondly , you can also adjust your own personal preferences as to which weapons you prefer to carry with you when you parachute out of the airplane and glide into chaos as a footsoldier.

The battles are absolutely intense , loaded with firefights that lead you to the MarketGarden map and others. The MarketGarden map exemplifies how well the game has been put together , with multi level stairs , rooftops , ruins , broken railcars , ladders and more - including : snipers (who's eyeglass reflects to show their existance) when a threat.

Throughout the AI is flawless , with very realistic damage characteristics , coupled with excellent authentic sounds , uniforms and weaponry. For certain the WWII era has been captured in Airborne far beyond other games in terms of playability , as each mission has numerous objectives that must be reached.

The added feature of awards anouncements while in game , for deadly accuracy and such - also upgrade your ability to collect more ammunition than usual , when the opportunity arises , rather than becoming full only - without overemphasizing that feature.

The hud displays a very active and responsive set of features that includes a healthmeter that requires you to maintain it by picking up healthsacks strewn randomly around the maps after any damage. While each of the 4 health levels will deteriorate if you are injured , but regain accordingly back to their individual full level if you protect yourself for a short period of time in gameplay.

Overall , I have to score this game 10+++ out of 10 for it's originality , design and playability - as there is no other game that covers an infantryman's footsteps quite like AIRBORNE.

As the storyline is strong and well implemented , I have to say that if you like WWII FPS games , you will not be disappointed if you buy it. Whether you play the single player or multiplayer modes , you will definately not play this game once and forget it , like some other games.

    AIRBORNE! HOOHA!

    Created: 07/10/07
Metal Of Honor Airborne continues the popular MOH series and and the tradition of solid game play.

If you have played any of the MOH or Call of Duty series, this game offers more of same Nazi-killing goodness. Significant changes to game play comes from the ability to land and start the game anyway on the map, leveling up weapons, and objectives that can usually be accomplished in any order and a greater reliance on cover. More than ever, there is a very heavy reliance on cover - run and gun tactics will get you killed. Methodical and patient strategies need to be applied. This is a welcome change from the numerous brain dead shooters. Controls themselves are overall good but I did find it frustrating not being able to throw grenades with one button, instead of switch back and forth between guns and grenades. While the levels themselves appear small, level design is quite intricate with multiple paths and options to completion. Supporting the level design is good AI; you truly feel like fighting with other members in an epic battle against smart enemies. The single player campaign is taut and highly enjoyable with the one complaint being that it ends all too quickly.

Graphics and sound come together to a final layer of shine on a game that is already good without good graphics/sound.

Simply put, if you like games like Call of Duty or shooters in general, this is a game you must play.

    8.5 / 10

    Best one yet!

Medal Of Honor Airborne is by far the best war simulator available for the PC. The graphics are outstanding and the campaign mode is excellent! Unlike the others, this Medal Of Honor game focuses on the Airborne squad(Paratroopers) where the previous games are focused on the average soldier. The online game play is one of my favorite games to play online. The game is very realistic, you can't get shot 20 times and live...Unless you get a medic kit, which makes online play more strategic. The graphics run smoothly and rarely lags for me. I have not come across any glitches of any kind yet and have not noticed one flaw. Even though the game is $49.99, I would still suggest you buy it. If you liked the Call Of Duty games and are a fan of Medal of Honor, I would highly recommend this game to you..

    Pretty good.

From a biased point of view, someone who has played all of EA's Medal of Honor series, this is the best Medal of Honor yet. However the game is kinda short, by my opinion.

But from the objective point of view, the game is quite complex to work with than conventional first person shooters.
