great, classic WWII shooter
Created: 09/02/09
This game was actually my very first first person shooter. I used to play it for hours back in high school, and I never did get much home work done. The game has a nice single player campaign if you don't mind fighting alone. That's pretty much the theme in the original allied assault. There are a few missions where you get some help from computer generated team mates, but those cases are few and far between. It's really the whole story line and cinematics that make the single player missions great. Playing MOHAA feels like moving through an action packed movie to me and that's what really keeps things interesting. It's really MOHAA's multiplayer gameplay that makes this game a gem. Medal of Honor Allied Assault has got to have some the best multiplayer maps of any first person shooter that I have ever played. Playing online isn't hard because the maps in MOHAA are easy to learn. There are still a lot of servers on the internet that host MOHAA but you do have to download some patches before you can play online. The game is based on the Quake III engine and graphically it looks pretty good, even by today's standards. Compared to other WWII shooters out there MOHAA has more of an arcade feel to it, but that's why I love the game so much. MOHAA is a true classic, almost like a chapter in WWII gaming history. I highly recommend it for any PC gamer looking for a great first person shooter.

Medal Of Honor : Allied Assault PC Game

Once you have played other WWII video games and load MOHAA you will suddenly
realize which games are the best entertainment. MOHAA is very different from
other WWII games and introduces the player to authentic looking uniforms and
map graphics. There are no line graphics in the squad players of the single
campaign or in the entire multiplayer collection.
When compared to other games , especially EA games , MOHAA , breaks the mould
by introducing more authenticity as the theme. Allowing fluent gameplay and
realism not found in many other WWII titles.
If realism is what you are looking for from EA , MOHAA has it , hands down.
The single player campaign is long and challenging , while the enemy are somehow more difficult to assume as victims. Very unlike previous video games.
Realism is where the WWII game arena lives , in reality , not in a box , and
MOHAA proves that completely. MOHAA is like a good book that can't be put down
or put off before it is finished , while the online play is both quick and demanding.

beginnings of WWII fps.... eh.. ok...

For being one of the first WWII game, I have to say this was fairly fun. But even compared to its contemporaries, this game turned out to be merely mediocre. The graphics to today’s standards absolutely suck. The gameplay is just routine shooting, shooting, finding a health pack, then shooting again. It can be fun and some parts of the game (D-Day landing in particular) can be extremely challenging and exciting but for the most part, it’s just a shooter. Don’t expect Call of Duty or Brothers in Arms for this.
What really is amazing about this game though is the multiplayer. Not too many people may play it online nowadays but even still, it’s a great experience. I’ve always had great, great fun with Medal of Honor online gaming. I can actually say, if people still play online, online Medal of Honor is even better than online Call of Duty. I am serious.

First one went off with one student to out of state school, leaving behind a high schooler who was totally hooked. He bought this copy himself. This has amazing graphics for the price and runs on any PC even our laptop with off the shelf graphics card. It is totally absorbing and if you play online the game grows as you improve your ability with it. Our family has literally had years of fun with this game.

MOH AA

I wanted a good shooter that would run ok on my laptop with it's limited video capabilities. The game works fine on my Thinkpad with only 256MB memory and 8MB ATI graphics. It's a T30 P4 2gig. Also playable on an older P2 400mhz with a 16MB nVidia card. Not great but it runs.
I wish there were more single player missions. Also the AI teammates will get themselves killed (obviously to make it more difficult) and you can't trick them out of it (kinda funny tho)!
