Very Pleased...

This version of MOH was definitely one of the best. Instead of following a basic "path" in the other MOHs, you actually have to choose where you are going next and build strategies to more effectively defeat the enemy. Better graphics, excellent story line, and great gameplay makes this game a keaper. The multiplayer is an interesting approach: in Rising Sun you could fight against AI players in multiplayer mode. In this game however you fight against up to three friends with many combinations of ways to play. Capture the flag, meet your Nemesis, as well as Axis vs. Allies make this multiplayer portion of the game a blast! Gameplay is a little slower because strategy is more involved.
Several people think that the MOH games are too easy; maybe they should turn the difficulty level from Recruit to Hero and they will probably see the difference. This game is nearly impossible even on Veteran. I would say the only few things that are bad about this game is that (1) your squad is not the smartest group of people at all and (2) a couple more levels might be nice.
Overrall I highly reccomend this game to anyone who wants a one-player first person challenge and a multiplayer strategic blast! It is worth the money and the time!

Not bloody or over the top, but fun just the same!

We rented this game for my 9 year old to try it out and make sure it wasn't blood and guts. The violence is very minimal, however the object is to take out your opponent before they get you, however it is a wartime setting. You can have up to 4 opponents or go as a team with your computer Axis or Allies Army. The feature used to site in your opponent through the scope is great. You can toss a grenade, shoot a bazooka, machine gun, or handgun depending on your surroundings. My child has become quite the little "sniper", picking me off from long range without me ever seeing his soldier. We are behind on the "hip" computer games out there now, but for a 40+ Dad and a 12- child, we have a blast. Very simple to get going, but will last for a solid hour or more, and we get to talk back and forth about anything. Strangely enough, we get to "bond" while playing. Love the game.

Medal of Honor European Assault (PlayStation 2, XBox)
Created: 28/06/10
I have an XBox, but bought this one for my girlfriend who has PlayStation 2. If it plays the same on PS2, here is my review:
I got hooked on the Medal of Honor game with the "MOH Frontline", and followed up with this game.
Very realistic war and strategy, teaches you not to make frontal assaults but to try to find a better method, like a flanking attack. The weaponry and graphics are superb. The main difference between "Frontline" and "Assault" is you're pretty much a lone wolf in the first, but in the second, you have to command a team to help you subdue the enemy. If you go it alone, you will get the sh*t shot out of you, but using the team to coordinate fire, you stand a better chance.
The main problem I found with the game is that in the levels, there is no way to save progress. Near the end, in clearing the farmhouse, I keep getting shot to crap and no weapons or ammo to be found and impossible to complete the level after nearly 200 tries. Very frustrating, and I ended up putting it away rather than destroying it in anger.
For the lack of level saves, I give the game a below-average rating.

Much improved MOH

The European Theater edition of Medal of Honor brings squad level action to the franchise. You get three squad members who respond to your attack and retreat commands. You can also use your health packs to restore their health and keeping them alive carries over more health from level to level. Levels have greater depth and more potential for exploration compared to earlier editions of MOH. While not at the depth of GTA, they offer a more interesting and satisfying experience.
European Assault is a high quality WWII first person shooter that adds valuable features to the Medal of Honor series. You won't be disappointed by its gameplay and features.

A great addition to the series.

This game is a welcome and refreshing addition to the Medal of Honor series. The game has alot less linear story than previous installments. You can choose what you want to do and where you want to go...within reason. I mean you still HAVE to do some things to complete missions.
It's nice to fight alongside a "team" whom you can control...well sort of. You can command your team to do things like cover you etc... but it seems they only listen half the time and when they do do it, they do what they are ordered to do for like 20 seconds, then they go back to being stupid. And that is pretty much my only complaint.
The graphics are on par with other games of a similar nature, not superb, but not at all bad. The missions are pretty tough as you go on. The story is about as good as past games, good or bad depending on your assessment of previous games. The enemy intelligence is upper for this game (compared to previous games int eh series). The controls are just like every MOH game, so if you've played it before, there is no learning curve. The replay value is pretty good, thanks to some codes you can get off the internet.
This game is classic medal of honor, everything you have come to love is there, and even some things you'll learn to love!
