Not what I had expected...

I love the MOH series of games but this title in my opinion is not one that the makers should be proud of. I know this came out when games were leaning towards the team aspect but I would have preferred if EA would have just stuck with the first person shooter and skipping the whole controlling a team approach. It is ok and maybe I just need to get more used to it but this game takes away something from the franchise of MOH and really should have stuck with the formula that works....now if you like war games that you control a team of 3 and yourself then ok go for it but personally I think they could have improved on graphics rather then spending the money on the team aspect of this game....thanks for allowing me to purge.

Must have XBOX game

This game has everything. It has troops, tanks, stationary guns, secret missions, and real action combat all rolled into one. When you shoot the enemy, they fall like they are real and at the correct angles. EA did a great job with that. Head shots are the best. I like when the enemy's helmet goes flying when you cap one in the dome.
The storyline goes along with the era. I even researched some of the facts and they are true to the time period. Even the guns, building structures, and outfits match the times.
I bought this game and will probably never sell it from boredom. I'm a Halo type person and never though I'd have a military combat type game. This my first Medal of Honor game too. I'm very impressed. I thought it would be too hard to learn the controls or just the same thing over and over again. I was wrong. Caught on quick and I've even gone back to previous levels just to play them again. If you like combat games, add this one to your collection. You will not be let down by any means.

My Review

If you like the other Medal of Honor titles you will enjoy this one as well.Nice graphics, smart AI.At times in the game you feel like you are actually ducked down saying I am going to get shot.Nice idea with having the team-mates along with you.The bad for me is how your team-mates will just start shooting or get in front of you when you zoom in,it clouds the screenand gets annoying.I am stuck on deciding if I liked the idea of so many bonus operations being hidden unless you just happen to come up on them.It is great at times but when your just trying to stay alive it stinks to end a mission and find out you missed a bonus.Overall I highly recommend his game to any fans or first person shooter gamers.

Medal of Honor European Assault (Xbox, 2005)

Created: 28/06/10
I got hooked on the Medal of Honor game with the "MOH Frontline", and followed up with this game.

Very realistic war and strategy, teaches you not to make frontal assaults but to try to find a better method, like a flanking attack. The weaponry and graphics are superb. The main difference between "Frontline" and "Assault" is you're pretty much a lone wolf in the first, but in the second, you have to command a team to help you subdue the enemy. If you go it alone, you will get the sh*t shot out of you, but using the team to coordinate fire, you stand a better chance.

The main problem I found with the game is that in the levels, there is no way to save progress Near the end, in clearing the farmhouse, I keep getting shot to crap and no weapons or ammo to be found and impossible to complete the level after nearly 200 tries. Very frustrating, and I ended up putting it away rather than destroying it in anger.

For the lack of level saves, I give the game a below-average rating.

If you like WWII shooting games, you should buy this.

I bought this game because I always liked World War Two shooting games and I am a big World War Two history buff. My little brother has an Xbox and I wanted to buy him and I a game I knew we would both enjoy playing.

I know everyones onto Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but I never really played Xbox back in the day and the games for Xbox are really cheap now. They provide days of enjoyment and in some cases weeks, for only $5 a game! Besides, the creators of the Medal of Honor series always made great games!

I can't really say anything I disliked about this game. It was really awesome and I feel I spent my money wisely. I made an accurate assumption about this game and just because it was made in 2005 doesn't mean it's a bad game and not worth playing. It is challenging in some parts, particularly the last level!
