I Love Lucy is a classic television series from the 1950's. Most people remember and know a lot about Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, but this book is about the "other couple" Fred and Ethel.

Vivian Vance played Ethel and William Frawley played Fred.

This is a great book with lots of quotes and tell alls about the reported hatred between the two and how they made it look ok on TV. William Frawley was an avid baseball fan and Ethel was an accomplished actress.

This biography of these two co-stars is excellent and it is a must read for the I Love Lucy fan.

It was really good as I especially did not know that much about Vivian Vance or William Frawley except that they did not get along. It was also interesting to read about really how under appreciative Lucille Ball was of them. I guess I just expected Lucille and Desi to be great friends of Vivian and William because of the so real life presentations of closeness on TV.
