Mega Bomberman (Sega Genesis, 1994)

This game is somewhat of an anomaly as far as me getting it. In my Toy Story review I stated that I was getting games that I had at one point in the past when i had my first Sega Genesis but this game was not on that list. I got it because of a friends recommendation (which I don't usually listen to for better or worse) and he said it was a great game. Of course he also loves Monster Hunter which I fall asleep to when playing but anyways Mega Bomberman is an early rendition and not a bad one in the series. If you don't know how to play a Bomberman game on some level then crawl out from under that rock and listen. You place bombs on a grid and try to blow up opponents while keeping yourself from getting blown up and that's all there is to it. That simple formula is the same one its had for many years for better or worse. There isn't much of a story to speak of other than blow stuff up to save other stuff. The graphics are standard for the Genesis and I guess I can recommend this game to any fan of Bomberman because it's more of the same thing that almost every Bomberman game is.

The game is amazing which only raises the question to why did sega only release one bomberman game on the mega drive/genesis?

Its gameplay is great, the music wonderful to hear, the story is decent and its one of the best bomberman games I ever played.

This game takes bomber man to a new level of excellence. I love the new music compositions. It is as good as the turbo grafx game. The new options make it slightly better. It gives you more choices than bomberman 93. There are new power ups and the ability to ride some strange looking creatures that protect you from an initial blast. It is fresh with new ideas but retains the simple addictive game play of previous bomber man games.

This game was played by entire family growing up. My sister bought me sega genesis for christmas and i HAD to have this game. You can play with up to four people. Even against the computer or in teams. There is also a single play option that is as complex and difficult to beat as many "new system" games. I highly recomend this game.

My girlfriend loves the game and now I can use my computer more because of it.
She has been playing the game for four hours and still is interested in the game. I wish more sellers that where as professional as this one would sell more items, I sell myself but am renowned as a great buyer, which comes in handy when I build a computer, then I can look around at other products that are similar to the ones I am selling and realize that I built an awesome product that will yeild a great profit.
