Fascinating look at the insect world

Created: 13/05/08
The use of the microscopic lenses in this film provide a surrealistic look into the world of insects. Narration is completely unnecessary, as the viewer is entranced with the insects performing their daily routines.

The quality of the film is on par with pre-blueray/hi-def offerings, and still looks amazing on the large screen. A fascinating viewing experience for both young and old...your kids will love it, and will be filled with questions!

Very entertaining, without bogging down the audience with heavy narration.

French film about 24 hours in a country field.

Created: 02/10/07
Just like the name implies, there is an entire cosmos of life living right along beside us. Virtually unnoticed, there is such a multitude of scary looking creatures that you won't want to ever go outside your house again. With little or no dialogue, this is simply an outstanding achievement.

Good for children old enough to not be afraid of insects - and anyone else with a curious mind. Fascinating, simply fascinating

Microcosmos - 2005 DVD

Created: 09/08/07
I bought this DVD because I saw previews for it on my "Deep Blue" DVD which my 20-month old granddaughter just loves. She was also fascinated by the "Microcosmos" preview. So, I bought "Microcosmos" and it is all and more that the preview showed. This is a fascinating, wonder-filled movie about insect and plant life. Truely fascinating and educational. We just love to watch it with the grandkids who want to see it over and over again! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in nature or who is interested in instilling a sense of wonder in a child. I'd recommend "Deep Blue" for the same reasons (a movie about ocean life).

This is a most fascinating video! Even for those who are not usually into nature videos. My kids loved it! The 16 and 13 year old as well as the 8 and 5. They wished it would last longer!

I never knew how cute bugs were

Created: 17/03/10
Extreme close-ups of bugs doing their thing. SO CUTE! Music instead of narration. I watch this to chill out and ponder the world.
