Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (DVD, 2003)

I bought this movie for my 5 yr old grandson to watch on one of his overnighters to our house. He loves the Power Rangers. The movie had tons of action with the bad guys being turned back into snot..yes snot, as the Power Rangers kicked, punched, and hurled them against rocks, building, grates, etc.
The special effects were excellent and I realized that children's entertainment has come a long way since the days of Captain Marvel comic books.
The movie was an absolute hit as my grandson watched it four times in two days. (It was raining outside) I think another reason he liked it so much was he is taking Taekwondo and the moves the Power Rangers perform are similar.
Once again Grandpa has scored a hit with his grandson thanks to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I give it a 10 out of 10.

If you like the original MMPR you will love this movie. Cheesy and fun similar to the old original series. Brings back a handful of the old cast along with the later series replacements for the Red/Yellow/Black rangers that left the show nearing the end of the original series. The standard layout for story line the has the focus of good vs. evil, always do the right thing and working as a team. Same basic morals and premise as the a standard episode but the movie takes the MMPR's to new abilities and strengths. I enjoyed the fast that it wasn't trying to be a stand alone movie or something different, simple it was the MMPR's, so walking into this movie you should know what to expect. The movie is fun and simple paced for the little ones while cracking a few jokes here and there for the adults to laugh at and not get too annoyed watching it a million times in a row. The camera they used is a much higher resolution than from the series and brings a more realistic feel to the power rangers. The downside I found of the movie was the CG (very cheesy and very noticeable) nearing the end of the move, but hey it was new technology back then so I'll give it a break. Overall enjoyable and fun for the little ones into the power rangers or martial arts. Enjoy!

I love the mighty morphin power rangers, always have! I had a huge crush on Tommy growing up and actually wanted to be a power ranger when I grew up. I got as close as I could by becoming a martial artist. Power rangers were my step up stone to becoming who I am today. As I got older I looked up to different martial art heros from Bruce Lee to Jacki Chan to Jet Lee, but powere rangers was always my steping stone. I know it sounds silly but its true. With this said, I would buy any movie(s) that had to do with the mighty morphin power rangers, and the most recent being the Turbo movie and the fight againg ozz. Both were fabulous, full of adventure and just an overall great movie for both kids and adults.

What a great movie!! Growing up i was a huge fan of The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. They where my big time heroes!! i have been wanting to buy the DVD version of this classic. Now i can share a bit of my childhood with my 10 years old brother and my many nephews!! thank for making this possible!!

My daughter loves movie...it's an old classic of original Power Rangers. It includes the original pink power ranger which is not available in the new series of ranger movies. The movie has Ivan Ooze as a villain and it is very entertaining.
