Product Information
Monopoly for the PlayStation introduces a whole new generation to the classic board game. The object of the game is simple: bankrupt your opponents. The gameplay calls for you to roll the dice and circle the board, buy or trade properties, build houses and hotels, and charge rent when your opponents happen to land on them. The more expensive properties are more desirable, as the rent is proportionately higher. You must also avoid the long arm of the law and jail time, which causes you to lose a turn and potential profit. From the look of the board itself, to the wheelbarrow, race car, and dog used as pieces, to the color of the deeds, every detail is accounted for in the PlayStation version. You can play with up to eight players with a multi-tap, or go it alone against the computer.

    Monopoly for SONY PLAYSTATION

    Created: 30/12/09
My fiancee had the game as a child but somehow lost it. We recently purchased the standard board game from Wal-Mart because we both like Monopoly, only I prefer the board over the video game. After searching eBay, I found the PS version and decided to buy it for her for Christmas. When the game arrived, she was acting like a child, jumping and screaming. She immidiately poped in her PS2 and started playing. Monopoly is a classic game that everyone seems to love.

Tired of losing pieces to the board game? Can't find the dice? Lost your favorite token? I always lose the shoe. I've been throwing at people. This is the classic Monopoly game everyone grew up playing without all the hassles. This is a PS1 game but it plays flawlessly in my PS2. If you like Monopoly you'll love this version! Get it now and enjoy hours of fun!

    Not recommed for PS3

Game play fine, but looks grainy & ancient on PS3. This game is not for the PS3 even though it works on the PS3, because it was not made for the PS3. Maybe a computer where you don't expect much in the way of graphics and clarity. I bought it because it said PS3 & I was new to PS3 - well any gaming really & I like monopoly. I'm noticing games that say PS1, PS2, PS3 are old formats and looks rubbish on PS3. They will play but they look rubbish.

The board game is better. Not that great of a video game.

     | No, I would not recommend this product.

Gameplay is very slow and boring. The in-game menu's are confusing and time consuming to navigate. I personally felt as though the game could have been a lot more interactive and fun, but its just very very very simple, way too simple to enjoy. You might as well play the board game.

    Great family game

We all sit around and play this game forever. I prefer this over pulling out the board game!!!! If I had to choose the factor that turns this into more fun is the way the pieces move and the fact we can auction the properties off.
