Monopoly (Wii, 2008)

This is one of the funnest Wii games ive played!! It is great for the family. I really enjoy playing the board monopoly but this has all the original fun plus extra new boards and even a fast 30 minute game! And for an added bonus for all the moms out there no cleanin up little house or fake money the kids leave laying around!!!I know my children are constantly lossing game peices but with this there are no extra little peices to deal with! Makes thing way easyer! The only bad about this game is that you need a diffrent controller for each player and it will not let you play with only 2 players it does four with 2 being computers while 2 are human and sometimes you just dont feel like haveing extra players.Over all i would rate this game 4 and 3/4 stars!

It's ok, as long as you don't mind losing!

I really wanted to like this game..I mean, who doesn't love the classic board game? It has its attributes, such as not having to move your game piece (good for us lazy players:) You get to sit in a comfy chair..push buttons & shake your remote (aka:dice) But..then the frustration begins. My family and I have played this several times using the different options available and all I can say is the computer folks always seem to win. It doesn't matter how many properties I (or my family)own, 'cause the computer people are never gonna land on them! Yet, we always land on the computer's properties until we're bankrupt - that is...when we're not sitting in jail! LOL - Those who have played know exactly what I'm talking about here! It almost becomes comical because it's so obvious. Then we all get tired of losing the game repeatedly and it's just not much fun anymore. Some of the same patterns that happen over and over to always allow a computer generated "player" to succeed by leaps and bounds is just a little more than coincidence in my opinion. It's too bad, cause this game could be great fun for the family. I suppose if you have 4 remotes for flesh & blood players, it might be a totally different story, but we only have 2 remotes. I can't honestly recommend this one...unless things suddenly begin to change drastically the longer we play it! Good luck!

Monopoly (Wii 2008)

Created: 04/05/10
I decided to purchase the game since my granddaughter who is 12 loves the regular board game. Mr. Moneybags, the talking character, is kind of annoying after awhile since he repeats the same phrases non-stop. Getting around to your turn with 4 players can be a bit time consuming so I've learned to play Cubis Gold on my laptop and push the pause button when it's my turn. It does help get the family into one room to interact and during our Monopoly play time there's less t.v. viewing time. I think if they were to put out a revised edition they could definitely work on setting it up to have one player play against a faux player otherwise just have real players play against each other without the faux players to reduce the amount of time it takes to play the game and make it more interesting. Mr. Moneybags could then have a lot more responses instead of the same ones which become doldrum in my books. All in all worth the price, especially if won on an Ebay Auction, if you have a youngster who likes the regular game since there's literally a reduced set up time and no lost game pieces. Oh, and did I mention storing it takes a lot less space. Good family fun!

Ok Game Play But Screen Is Too Small

Created: 04/05/09
Monopoly games are always fun but Hasbro have quite some work to do improving this game's game play. The game play screen is too small I can hardly see the prices of the properties. Some times I can't even see the name of the property. They should also improve the graphics on this game and turn it in to 3D play like the computer Monopoly Tycoon game, because after a while it gets pretty boring looking at the board for hours.

At best I give game average rating, it wasn't horrible and it did not Wow me either.

Fun for the most part

Created: 12/11/10
This game is a fun version of Monopoly with different boards you can play. The "Monopoly Man" commenting on everything gets a little annoying, but other than that it is a good way to play Monopoly by yourself or with others.
