McCulloch Steam Cleaner
Created: 04/03/09
I bought this to hopefully help me clean shower tiles, which for some reason only after two years have gotten really hazy and the grout went from a nice light brown to a creamy color. Of course it didnt work! I followed the directions and did everything 8 times, but it didnt do anything. It did manage to melt the brush heads, so I guess the steam is at least warm, but it didnt clean the tile or the grout like so many claim this steamer and other steamers can do. i have yet to steam my hardwoods, due to the amount of water that comes out when you first start it, I have a feeling the floors would be very streaked and wet. It only comes with one floor mop cover, and as I said, the plastic bristel brushes will melt after a few minutes of use. I didnt use the brass bristel brush yet, havent had anything made of iron or metal to clean yet! I cant think of a use, besides the tile that I truly hoped this would clean and grout, but hopefully I can find something around the house to use it for. It doesnt come with anything to possibly use it as a clothes steamer, and since it does get so hot, I think it would not be a good idea. Maybe taking off wall paper, but my house is new and doesnt have wall paper, so i wont be trying that either. I guess since it didnt do the job I purchased it for, I wouldnt reccommend it.
