Must-have for Moodies fans....
Created: 26/10/10
Outstanding interviews with original members of Moody Blues as well as those currently in the group. Interesting to hear of the group's development from a variety of band members; how it is viewed similarly and contrastingly. Highlights most of the major successes of the group - the "Go Now" Moodies, the Classic Seven albums, the break-up, the reunion, the re-enlightenment of 1980s. Denny Laine, Mike Pinder, Graeme Edge, Justin Hayward, John Lodge give commentary as well as interviews and insights from Derek Varnals and Tony Clarke. Don't know if Ray Thomas was contacted for more current material, but would have been nice to get more than 'archival' footage from Ray - as he was so integral to the Moodies on so many levels. Excellent - I've had it for a couple weeks and have watched it several times. Appropriate for a variety of ages -my own kids have watched (although skipped the LSD references with them!), and I plan to do the same with my HS Music Appreciation course's Rock & Roll History unit. Amazing purchase!

Moody Blues-Classic Artists(2007, DVD)

I've always been a big fan of the British Beat, even more now of the Moody Blues. I enjoyed this DVD a lot. It is rich in interviews with the Moodies, their peers, their former and new bandmates. It contains great old photos, music promos( 2nd DVD) and a CD devoted to works from members of the Moodies before they were Moodies. You can listen to the demo that got Justin the job as lead singer/guitarist for the Moodies. He sounds great and Denny Laine's song wasn't to bad either. It's long but is worth the money to add to my collection.

Moody Blues-Classic Artists DVD

This is a must-have for any Moody Blues fans. Previously, it was hard to find personal information about them. Like they admit in the DVD, they kept their lives quiet because they saw what life was like for the Beatles. I love it! I first bought one as a gift, but then had to buy one for myself!

Very nice collection about of the story of the Moody Blues. How they were formed and why some members are no longer touring him them. It helped me fontly remember the good times I had when I saw them in one of the 10 live concerts I saw them perform in!
