Moody Blues - Lovely To See You - Live (DVD, 2006)

a few weeks before this concert at the greek, i had the great luck of seeing the moody blues.luck because this was one of their best!i have seen them on many occasions over their long musical journey and i promise you it just does not get any better.when i attended this concert it was as a fan, and without ray thomas i did not know what to expect.what i got was a smooth seamless presentation of old and new.all fit together so well that a new lister would never realize the age of any of the songs.the newest member of the band (norda mullen) played like she had always been part of the band.when it ended it was too soon,and that should tell you something as they played two hours.when i was leaving the concert i was thinking this is one of those once in a lifetime experiences i will always carry with me.so you can imagine my delight when i found this dvd newly released!this is the same concert that i saw except for a couple of song changes.and nothing is left out,the dvd shows the whole concert uncut except for some audience time between songs,and this is done so well that its not really noticeable.as if this was not enough image entertainment the people who brought us this dvd has included a before concert interview.done in a conversational form leaving out the interviewer and questions,this is a true delight.we get to find out that the band members are just as interesting as their music.should you buy this,no!you should already own this.if you do not you are truly missing out on something great.there is no one like the moody blues,and this proves out this point so well.

I bought this DVD shortly before seeing the Moody Blues at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY and the concert was nearly a carbon copy of the DVD. I enjoyed it thoroughly. The band was great in concert and on this DVD. Despite their age these guys have still got it. When Graeme got off his drum kit at the concert to perform Higher and Higher he told us he just had his 71st birthday!

I am in awe of the Moodies as I have been for years. This DVD will have you rocking as if you were at the show. The camera work is excellent with lots of close up shots of the band and the brilliant guitar work of Justin as well all the other members. When Justin sings Question it literally gives me goose bumps; it is so stirring and beautiful.

The bonus interview component on this DVD is priceless too. Although the interviewer's voice is absent the chance to listen to the Moodies talk about their music and their personal lives is just icing on the cake. Get this DVD and be part of the magic.

This dvd is a must have for the long time Moody Blues fan, and also for the new fans.I saw this concert in person and I never wanted it to end, Justin and John were in rare form, and the dvd shows that they have just gotten better with time. They done a lot of their old music and some of their new and the show was wonderful.The only thing missing was Ray and his beautiful flute, no one one can make a flute sound like Ray, but the girl did a very good job.This dvd also has an interview with Justin, John, and Graeme which I enjoyed very much. I love the Moody Blues and I hope they keep doing their concerts for a long time. If you want to see a great show and hear the music magic that only The Moody Blues can play, and see how they can still put on a super show and preform their special kind of magic just like thirty years ago, buy this dvd, you will not regret it!

This is classic Moody Blues at their best. Excellent quality audio and video of some of the band's best songs in concert -- like being on the first row. A "must have" for Moody Blues fans!

I just love the music they wrote and their sound. The only thing missing from this live dvd was one member of the original Moody Blues, Ray Thomas. He was very missed.
