They were the best manufactured pop group ever, and in Michael Nesmith had a musical semi-genius. Their second album, apart from the wretched "Your Auntie Grizelda," carries on from their debut. It contains the mantric "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone," Neil Diamond's chunka-chunka-chunk "Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow)," the funky "Mary Mary" and the paragon, "I'm A Believer," also written by Neil Diamond. Euphoric and nostalgic and completely marijuana-free.

More of The MonKees CD. I always wonder how these guys did it. The combination of sounds and lyrics was/is excellent. The song SHE... used to make me cry, but by now, I have overcome that feeling. I always like The monkees since day one and this CD has some of the many songs they have to offer.

I loved the LP as a kid... it belonged to my step sister and when she wasn't around, I played it over and over again. "I'm a believer" and "I'm not your steppin' stone" were my favorite tracks and still are to this day, with "She" coming in as third favorite. I was thrilled to see this issued on cd and would recommend it to any Monkees fan... great album at a great price! Highly recommended!

Gem case had large crack in it when I received it. The CD plays great. I bought it to add to the Monkees to my music library.
