MotoGP 3: Ultimate Racing Technology (Xbox, 2005)

Moto Gp has long been the leading GP game for consels. Moto GP 3 is the best and latest version for the standard Xbox platform and has fantastic graphics. I am a motorcycle rider and wanted a game I could play during the colder seasons when riding isnt much of an option. The game has all the great riders to compete against and the tracks are fantastic. The controls are a little difficult to get the hang of at first, and you must keep a true line on the track or you will crash. For experienced riders and novices alike, this game is great.

My son had been wanting this game for a long time...it was no longer available in stores (even as used), so we found it brand new on ebay...he couldn't be happier! He says it is the most realistic of all the motorcycle games he has seen.

I decided to purchase Moto GP 3 because the price is hard to beat and hard to find. I wanted to add this title to my collection of sports games.

This is a great game that anyone, who enjoys racing, has to purchase. It has the best graphics of any Xbox title out there. The screen begins to blur at high speeds, giving you a great sense of speed. Sound is spectacular as you are engulfed in the whining of the engines. Custom soundtracks are a wonderful option. Many people are dismissing this game because they don't understand how to brake and corner, which are part of the core of the gameplay. Braking and cornering in this game is difficult because it is realistic. Braking and cornering in any other racing game is easier because the CPU assists you in cornering and braking. MotoGP 3 is not an arcade racer! This isn't a game you can just pick up and play, you have to practice for this game to be enjoyable. Once you have an understanding of the controls you'll fall in love with it. People dismissing this game likely spent less than a few moments playing and ultimately are missing out on a great game. This game is difficult because it is realistic. People are wanting more realism, and that is what they are getting. I personally enjoy a game that I have to work at to be good at, which is one of the reasons why I like this game.

Not being a gamer I couldn't say whether this is good compared to other games. I am a track rider and this game offers some very realistic riding. You can load up the front, ride deep into the corner and then appex early. You can high-side it too. It is impossible, I've tried, to low-side the bike. So from this aspect it really won't teach you how to corner faster. Nonetheless, the game is still a blast and even at 40 years old I can beat my kids on!
