Ever drool over a friends gsm cool high quality state of the cell phone but live in verizons ugly cell phone ghetto? Wish you could have slick compact slider, with out Sony Erikson's hard to push slick tiny keypads, or with vx8550 hard to navigate spastic touch sensitive external key pad? Well look no further my verizon cdma friends finally, Z6tv is the asnwers to your prays .LOL. Ok it a bit of overstatement , but honestly until this phone came out I was seriously think of porting over to ATT, because of the low quality, un innovative, ugly phones verizon had in there line (only sprint is worse off) and the V9m broadsword looks sexy but is HUGE and one of the loosest low rent keypads Ive ever seen and it wierd sub mirco usb forces all new accessory's BOO! lol.

So with no further a due PROS:

EXCELLENT RF reception as good or maybe a little better than legendary e815.

Beautiful main screen clear bright colorful, with the slider close you have easy navigation of all of the phone functions, with real external key pad, and the 10 key pad with the slider opened is small but full function with keys easy to use (not hard to push and slick like Sony Erickson's).

Easy to access mirco sd card, slot is on the top of the not hidden behind battery door or under the battery.

key pad lock switch

easy to use media player for music and video player and if you use windows media player, it will sink up and transfer music to z6tv with just a standard usb cable and no additional software.

Excellent bluetooth reception with headsets (haven't try BT stero head set but it is capable)

2.5mm headphone jack

strong vibrate and able to set vibrate and ring .

good 2.0 megpixel camera and video 320x240 result with length determine buy memory card size.

Loud ring tone volume

Loud speaker phone option

The positives for this phone is list goes on and on ...... Right know it simple the best phone on verizon,

Great Phone, great reception and features.

Durable, great battery life, great recption all over my house including the basement. this phone can take an extensive use. I used it during a costruction job that i managed and it performed great. clear bright screen, nice size fonts when browsing the net, clear speaker, Stereo bluetooth that works with my external speaker. Extended battery lasts 8 hours of talk time or 6 days of standby. Also this phone can take the BT61 battery from motorola, without getting special cover. the BT61 can last over 6 hours of talk time much better than a 4 1/2 hours of the BT51. Ori@InteriorArt.com

The Motorola Rizr Z8 Review in Late 2009 (10-2009)

Created: 25/10/09
The Motorola Rizr Z8 might seem a bit outdated since it first came out (2007) but I still always wanted to own one, not only because it looks very ergonomically "cool" but because I believed Motorola was doing better in those years.

Since its decline, Motorola has been losing all of its customers, and that did not stop me; although, I might of been wrong and here are the reasons.

Apart from its amazing stylish look, the Z8 is a complete piece of %#^%&; with a slow processor, a slow program inside, and a lack of being a smartphone like it pretends to be. Furthermore, Motorola called this phone its Ipod-type phone with a full screen Mpeg4-movie display but it does not include a video converter to convert your files into the correct format. The camera is acceptable for a 2-mpx camera, and the flash is pretty useless. The battery lasts about 2 days and a half with normal use. The fact that it looks "cool" makes it very hard to type text messages or play games on your phone.

Thus, as this remains my phone until the Iphone 4G comes out next July '10, I won't complain much - it works as a phone (with many flaws), and people think I'm cool when I'm holding it.

That was it for the review of the Motorola Rizr Z8. One last thing; never buy any refurbished stuff from Motorola either.

Average Features, Good Call Quality, Poor Build Quality

Created: 07/12/08
Experience:
I have owned this phone for 12 months.

Features:
In terms of features it is about average. It has a dedicated camera/camcorder button which is convenient. It also has access to verizon's new live tv service which is nice to use if you live in an area that offers it. The camera is above slightly average quality, the pictures that it takes are not amazing but but definitely not poor.

Call Quality:
Excellent. I have never had problems with dropped calls and the sound is fabulous. Speakerphone is loud and picks up my voice even from across the room.

Build Quality:
Poor. I love the slide form factor of this phone, and luckily it is still as zippy and functional as when I first bought it. Aside from this, I am very unhappy with motorola's cheap design of this otherwise great phone. I am a heavy texter and 8 months into my first handset the center and ring buttons were on the verge of falling off (the result of using glue to bind the keys instead of a more sturdy mechanical construction). In addition the number pad keys had chipped and were barely visible. I am now four months into my second model. It is so far holding up well, but the ring button is beginning to come loose and I am worried about having to replace it again.

In terms of calling and features this phone is a good choice. However if you are anything more than a very light phone user I would not recommend this phone because of its poor build quality. In retrospect I wish I had gone with something that was sturdier, like the LG env2.

Great Phone, with a single drawback. Not USA friendly.

Created: 24/02/10
Let's get the bad out of the way first. It was never released as an American phone. There are limited U.S. settings. The phone does not recognize all American Time Zones. The currency is British Pounds. The units of measure are Metric. That can get a tad bit annoying. That's the drawback.

The rest of the phone is Great. You can play full movies with sound. Excellent resolution. The camera on the back feels more natural like a real camera and less like a phone-cam. It captures photos & video. Music player. Expandable MicroSD. Cameras on both sides, for self portrait. Crisp clear display. Stunning looks. Solid feel, unlike my MotoRAZR which was too flimsy for my tastes, (broke the housing 3 times over a 4 year period.) Call quality is excellent. Signal strength much better. (Stood in the same place and switched out my SIM card with two other phones.)
