) I brought it because it was an approved cable modem from my internet provider. seller stated that it was only used for 6 months. well it only lasted a week for me. then I had to replace. During that week that it worked, it was constantly dropping connection. Now I don't know if this information was true but since it is the only info I have to go off of, it is not a start choice to buy.

I bought this modem to receive internet service. I wanted to buy one instead of leasing it. This is the same type of modem used by most popular internet providers (my experience was comcast. Very simple to use, no confusing buttons or lights. Very reliable. Connections are very sturdy as well as the modem. VERY GOOD MODEM! Has a convenient reset button on the top of the modem. Stands up straight on its own. I used the comcast supplied one for YEARS and it never faulted once.

This purchase came with everything I needed to replace the unit I was renting from my cable company. I checked Ebay and was tempted to purchase a used one, but I read that they might not last but 3 to 4 years. SO, my decison became easier to purchase a new unit. This company had a great rating for service, hence my purchase from them.
