Excellent Phone! Would Recommend!
Created: 03/04/08
The only real reason I upgraded this phone was because I wanted the ability to customize a ring tone. Like many other electronic items, you get a new phone, and it is outdated a few months later. My wife has the pink razr and only complained about the reception at times when she first received it. The problem apparently has been corrected. I decided to call up my service provider and obtain an upgrade.
There are a lot of positives to this phone. I have dropped the phone a few times accidentally in which it did not cause any damage. My last cell phone which I recently sold on eBay had many cracks and damage on the front cover of the phone. Let's face it, we all have or will drop our phone at some point in our lives whether we mean to or not! I really enjoy the slim compact design it has to offer. I can easily put this phone in any of my pockets and it feels comfortable. I previously had carried my cell phones on clips. I didn't even have to buy a clip for this one. This phone also has a great LCD front/inside screen. Both have a great resolution in which you can view pictures without a problem.
The phone comes with an alarm clock, which I use a lot, a date book, calculator and many more features. I also just started using mimimal texting on this phone. The keypad is larger which is easier to dial and use other options. This phone also has a built in voice recorder. Many people don't know about this feature and could really use it. You can record notes to yourself and record a conversation you are having. I often record my wife telling me what to get at the store so I don't forget. Don't forget to ask people if you can record as courtesy! This option is available with two side buttons, all in the manual.
I personally had not had an reception issues with this phone, other than dropping calls because of the normal cellular range I'm in. It is amazing to me there is no external antenna and you get an excellent reception. When you receive a call it may take a second to click on which is not bad for no antenna.
I have not set up voice command yet, but heard they are cool to do so. I rather just use my address book. I also have a blue tooth in which I have used with the phone a few times. It took a while to set up a connection with my device because it was previously connected to another cell phone.
By the way, the ring tone works great. This is done relatively easily. Just go to your service providers web site, it gets sent to you, and set it up. It was very easy to do.
The only negative thing to add, which is not really negative, is the lcd screens are hard to keep clean. If that is the only thing I have to worry about then, :)
Overall this is an excellent phone! Highly recommended! Can't wait to see what the next phone brings.

Motorola Razr - V3 Special Edition (AT&T)
Created: 27/10/07
Let's start by saying that Motorola is an overall good company. Their reputation was increased with several good releases. Their products overall are very good. I would recommend them to anyone. Though, there are many companies out there like Samsung that are very good. I still suggest that if your interested in a phone to go with the Motorola products.
- Bluetooth on the phone is good. Catches someone near you most of the time, with certain exceptions. It's still very good. The camera on the phone is only 0.3 Megapixels, which makes it a little bit of a dissapointment. (8/10)
- The V3 Razr is one of the most durable phones on the market considering it's average sale price of $149.00 USD. Everything is held well in place. Though, many complaints have been filed against screens cracking easily. I haven't had any problems with mine. Quality is better than most phones! (8/10)
- Surprisingly, the V3 Razr is one of the nicest phone on the market for its sleek look and feel, along with it's affordable price tag. Dialing buttons, and screen look are fantastic! The phone has a nice screen with good colors, along with an outer screen when the phone is closed. You can see your wallpaper or who is calling you. (9/10)
Features: External color display. Quad-band antenna. MPEG4 video Playback. Blue illuminated keyboard. Java functional. Picture caller ID. VGA Integrated camera 4X zoom.
Con(s): This phone is too over rated, and there are too many in circulation. Not really a big problem though. If you like this phone then go ahead and get it. You will be very happy with your purchase.

Awesome Cell Phone
Created: 25/01/07
I have had my Razor now for about a year and I just love it, and my Razor is my 6Th cell phone and it is by far my favorite. I love it's slim sleek style I can stick it right in front pocket of my jeans, and just forget it until it rings or vibrates, and it is a light weight phone. It also has a great camera that can take some really great crisp pictures. Also takes some nice short video's. Keeps a Great Signal, & long battery life. One of my favorite is being able to put picture I.D for people calling you that is just awesome that way you see a picture of the person who is calling just so cool then you can also give everyone there own ring tone. I saw where someone left a review saying these phones break easy well I have had mine now for about a year, and I have drop it a few times and on hard surface and it doesn't have a crack on it & no malfunctions of any kind it still works like it did when I bought it new. My whole family loves the Razor so much that they want me to up grade their phones on their B-Days to Razors. I know I love it so much that I am going to upgrade soon to the one with the MP3 player on it. I do say this is a phone I am glad I got and my money was well well spent on. I give it a rating of 5 out of 5.

THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELL PHONE COULD DO.

THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELL PHONE COULD DO.
There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your
mobile phone can actually be
a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that
you can do with it:
FIRST Subject: Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out
of the coverage area of your
mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will
search any existing network to
establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112
can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
SECOND Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday.
Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the
spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your
cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have
the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile
phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive
your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles
away,
and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you
can unlock the doors (or the trunk). Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried
it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"
THIRD Subject: Hidden Battery Power
Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#
your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50%
increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell
next time.
FIFTH
Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411
information calls when they don't have to. Most of us do not carry a
telephone directory in our vehicle, which makes this situation even more of
a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial:
(800) FREE 411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all.
Program this into your cell phone now.
This is the kind of information people don't mind receiving,. I cared enough about you to send this message, are there people you care about? Then send it to them.

Ehh...

I had this phone for about a year. It worked great until last month then randomly the screen stopped working. I dropped it one time and thats all it took.I wouldn't mind but it decided to stop working properly about a week after I dropped it the whole 3 ft I may have dropped it. Either way after that it stopped ringing as well... but it still worked for a couple more weeks, and well now... now its done. It turns on but you can't see the screen, you can't hear anything, the only thing you could maybe do is call somebody to tell them where you are and that you're in trouble and they still can't talk to you because you can't hear them! I also don't like the fact that the camera on this phone doesn't have a flash. The pictures always came out blurry or dark because of this. I did like its small size though. Battery seemed to last alot longer than most of the newer phones they've come out with. All in all it's a good phone... just don't drop it and don't expect excellent pictures.
