Mr. Bean: The Whole Bean (DVD, 2003, 3-Disc Set)

What can I say...you cannot pick just one episode of Mr. Bean, because every episode of the Rowan Atkinson character is so funny! You will laugh till you cry
watching these DVD's! There is not one thing I dislike about this boxed set...
well, except maybe...there should be a whole lot more! I bought this set as a gift because my family and I used to watch it on tv. If you have never seen a
Mr. Bean DVD, you will surely get plenty of laughs watching it for the first time. And if you have watched Bean...you'll never get tired of watching again and again!

Love all the skits, and the story of how Mr Bean was created. The refreshing Humor and sudden shifts in comedy keep one laughing at each scene. So Stupid its Hilarious..
you will not go wrong with this set of movies and Im sure you will enjoy them as much as we do.

I've always liked Mr. Bean, and I've liked Rowan Atkinson in other movies he's done as well (especially "Keeping Mum"-- check it out!). Now I get to watch him whenever I want to! His comedy is very British-- full of outrageous gags, slapstick, physicalism, and silliness. Think Monty Python-lite. My wife and I will get many hours of enjoyable escapism out of this!

I decided to buy this for our family because it is clean comedy and brings us lots of laughs. This is really good comedy that you just can't go wrong with.
If you want clean comedy for your entire family, this is it. Other comedy just does not measure up to wholesome family fun.

I need to add some additional notes here.
After viewing all the episodes and the "extras" biography on Mr. Bean it is only fair that I warn you. I did not know this, but on two episodes Mr. Bean is totally naked. On one show he loses his swimming trunks and his backside is shown for maybe a couple of seconds. I was surprised and it was too late to go past it after it happened and my kids were watching with us.

The other show only shows his "side" without clothes.

In the "extras" that Rowan Adkins talks about his past there was a shocker for me when they shows clips of a bunch of people on a stage dressed in costumes and the womens costumes were designed for the womens breasts to be fully exposed. I was very uncomfortable with this since my kids were sitting there watching with my wife and I. It was too late once again to do anything about it.
So if you plan on watching the "extras" I don't recommend your kids being present unless your ethics are uneffected by this.

Overall, it is still great comedy.

Oh, one other thing, if you have never watched this before, I don't recommend eating at the same time, you may choke from laughter.

Rowan Atkinson is a very talented individual. The fact that he very rarely says anything and can carry the show attest to his ability to be animated and funny at the same time. He comes up to the level of Red Skelton and others from the "silent and vaudeville" era. i have no problems with allowing my children to watch Mr. Bean, I find no offensive material within this set.
