Munsters' Scary Little Christmas (DVD, 2007)

Eddie is homesick for Transylvania and the family rallies to make him jolly for the holiday season in good old Mockingbird Lane in California. Each decides to do something different for him. Herman wants to get him a neat present from home. Lily gets him to help her decorate the house for the holidays. Marilyn (the ugly one) plans a family party for him and Grandpa wants to make it snow on Christmas Day.
Munster madness at its best!!! I am a huge Munster fan and this movie doesn't disappoint. I wish it could be the original cast but this film was made almost 30 years later then the series. Sam McMurray is wonderful as Herman. It is a film I will enjoy watching again. Take a risk and buy one for yourself. When you watch it you will then realize that it wasn't much of a risk at all. Two thumbs up for me.
Oh,yes! Even Santa Claus and some elfs drop by for a visit. Sort of speak. You have to watch the movie.

I'm a fan of the Munsters and the actors and actresses of the television show. I was disappointed with the movie, things i would have enjoyed if it would have been the actors and actresses from the t.v. show, i couldn't enjoy this honestly because some of these people in this movie were in other things that was not very good. Poor story line and the choice for people to be in this film just made it a lousy christmas gift. as far as the quality of the dvd itself that was very very good, being new it usually is but sometimes new doesn't give best quality. each part was only made better by the quality of the dvd but for no other reason. I've seen Munsters Go Home and loved it,some actors and actresses can change over to be in well published parts and make it work well but the weak story line made the movie boring for me. the clothing was done very well for the actors and actresses to dress their parts. it was just a very mixed mess, now if i hadn't ever seen a munsters show or the new munsters show then i might have liked it better. this is the third group of people to do a munsters show.remake and remake and remake with not a real excellent story line and the same actors from either munsters show would have been better. the actors and actresses did a good job with what they had to work with but remaking sometimes just doesn't work and this one didn't. i liked all the actors but in other things not in this movie. elves rude comments not suited for a family movie. i can't give it as a gift as my son found it not really family friendly. it was so boring i fell asleep.

This movie was great for Halloween and Christmas. Really enjoyed it. The grandchildren too. I put it large on the wall for Halloween. Made the party great. The adults and kids enjoyed watching it. Excellent purchase and it arrived on time.

Our family really enjoying watching this movie- everyone enjoyed it from age 3 to age 9. We the adults enjoyed it as well, but then & again we grew up with the Munsters. I was a little disappointed that the characters were not the original cast members, but all in all a very good movie.

A DELIGHTFUL CHRISTMAS STORY, WITH A BIT OF A COMEDY IN A SCARY SORT OF WAY. THE MUNSTERS SHOW THAT CHRISTMAS CAN BE CELEBRATED BY ALL, WHETHER YOU ARE FROM TRANSYLVANIA OR THE USA.
