My Baby Can Talk - Exploring Signs (DVD, 2007)

I bought this DVD as a replacement for my 18 mo old granddaughter. Our 5 year old grandson used it constantly. They are slow paced and entertaining. But I do feel it slows down their willingness to speak as it's easier to sign.

This is a great item....We have the other 2 DVD's and my two children have loved them both..The pictures are great and the music is so soothing...as an adult you don't mind watching this....My 17 month old has a sign language vocabulary or about 30 due to these videos......

We purchased all 3 of the 'My Baby Can Talk' DVDs for our grandson. We started him watching them at 6 months old and he absolutely loves them. He started signing 'milk' right away. He is now 20 months old and his verbal language skills are advanced for his age. He signs and speaks many of the words independently, and they are still his favorite DVDs to watch - even more than any preschool program on the TV. Learning to sign simple words like 'milk' or 'eat' helped him to communicate his needs without crying or being frustrated. I look forward to him reading early because of this early training in connecting letter sounds, words, pictured objects and communication skills. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought this for my niece's shower gift as well as a set for me because I was planning to watch her daughter. We started showing her the DVD's at 3 months even though they recommend 10 months. She was signing a little at 8 months. She is now 17 months old and signs very well. The DVD is done in such a way to engage the child from beginning to end. They use animate as well as inanimate objects to describe each word. They show the example, sign, show many more examples and then sign again. They also say the word and spell it on screen. I would highly recommend this series. My 6 month old grandson, whom I watch is glued to the tv when we start the DVD. I just bought another copy of the 3 DVD set for my daughter so she could understand what her son tries to communicate to her when he is at home. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!

Bought the first DVD before my son was born, and now have moved on to Exploring Signs. He loves it. His face lights up everytime he hears the beginning music, and he knows so many signs already at 10 months. Recommended highly!
