a very fun & appealing romantic comedy
Created: 26/12/07
There is probably something about this romantic comedy that will appeal to just about everyone- whether it be the all-star cast (including Julia Roberts & Cameron Diaz), the enduring characters, the catchy and enjoyable soundtrack or the actual plot, which manages to maintain the perfect balance between humor and heartache...
Michael has been in love w/ Julianne (Roberts) as long as SHE can remember. Commitment shy, she has always managed to keep herself playfully out of his romantic reaches. And instead they have always been the best of friends. This arrangement suited Julianne just fine, until Michael makes a shocking announcement- he has fallen in love w/ SOMEONE ELSE and they are getting married. What is more, Michael asks her to help him with the wedding. His charming and much younger bride-to-be (Diaz) even asks her to be IN the wedding, as her maid of honor. At this moment Julianne realizes she is in love with Michael and for the first time in her life, she commits to getting him back- whatever the cost. What ensues is a hilarious romp between the woman that is "perfect" for Michael and the one that he actually loves. But which is which?

I'm completely in love with this movie because is a realistic romantic comedy and does not end as you would like. The item arrived in perfect conditions and sealed. It includes 1 DVD with the movie and special features (the making of My Best Friend's Wedding, Wedding do's and dont's, "Say a little prayer" sing along, My Best Friend's Wedding album). Is one of my favorites movies of all time.

My best friends wedding

My best friends wedding has got to be the best movie produced in a long time. Julia Roberts is hilarious when she finds out that her long-time, best friend of the opposite sex is getting married. They had entered into an agreement that at a certain age if they weren't married they would marry each other. Her birthday comes and goes and that when she gets the call. He explains that he meet someone and is getting married. Julia is devastated and goes to extreme lengths to break up the marriage. So what happens next..... Does he marry the other woman or does he cancel it?????? Buy it you'll love it and watch it time and again.

A woman realizes that friends can be lovers, but now has to convince the friend in question in this romantic comedy. Michael O'Neal (Dermot Mulroney) and Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) were romantically involved in college, and after breaking up, they have managed to remain close friends. For years, Julianne and Michael have had a pledge that if both were single when they turned 28, they would get married. Shortly before her 28th birthday, Julianne is lamenting the sad state of her love life when she gets a call from Michael, who announces that he has important news. Julianne is convinced that Michael is going to ask her to marry him, and she is crestfallen when he announces that he's engaged to Kimmy Wallace (Cameron Diaz). Kimmy seems like the perfect woman for Michael; she's sweet, pretty, bright, and adores Michael, and her wealthy family is just as fond of him as she is. But now that Julianne has realized how much she loves Michael, she's not about to give him up without a fight -- and isn't afraid to fight dirty. Julianne's uneasy ally in the battle for Michael's affections is her friend and editor George Downes (Rupert Everett), a cheerfully out-of-the-closet homosexual who is not prepared when Julianne asks him to pose as her boyfriend. ~

My Best Friend's Wedding

My Mother and I watched this movie a couple of times and she really liked it. She has passed on and I thought it'd be a good way of thinking about her.
Besides, Rupert Everett, gay or not, is quite a handsome man. Cameron Diaz and the singing was hysterical.
