) Saw the book originally in a local book store for a co-workers grandaughter. Co-worker just loves uniquie purses like the Chicken purse on eBay. So we bought My Granny's Purse for her grandaughter to play with.
Absolutely love the idea and presentation of the book. A bit disappointing once you open the "purse". Not as entirely interactive with removable pieces as one would think with the description, ie Granny's sunglasses, rings,mail, coins. Those items are die cut, but are not removable from the book. Those are the very things that a little girl would love to put on and play with, even her scarf is attached to the book.
Child is happier just walking around with the purse than playing in the purse, disappointing.

) I bought this purse for my 4 year old daughter, because it looked like so much fun. She is still enjoying the "book" six months later, which says something. Now I'm buying as gifts. Granny's purse is full of little things for little hands to try, rings to poke a finger through, glasses, hankie, a letter, and more all made out of sturdy cardboard (except the hankie is real). Each page has little phrases such as, "My mommy always tells me, 'be careful.' My granny says, 'be prepared!'"
When Granny Can't Be There

This is the cutest thing! I bought it for my grandaughter who lives in another state. And she's teething and likes board books. They teach them a lot, and there's something nice about being able to play in Granny's purse. The stuff in it looks like the stuff in my real purse...even the little black speckled book...I have MANY of those! So this is purse will be there when Granny can't be. Every little child should have one!

) An excellent book with pages that represent items that could be in a purse. Items are interactive and entertaining for children. I would recommend it for young children. It is rated for use not for children under 3. However I feel its great for them too, but needs supervision if used by children under 3 due to the items that could be torn from book and eaten or swallowed.

Cutest Thing You Ever Saw!

I bought this for my grandSON and I'm sure the other grandmother that lives near him will enjoy it with him. I live 2,000 miles away so I'm always looking for unusual gifts since I don't know what things he has. It's PERFECT for any grandmother with a purse addiction to give! I also got another one to give to a very good friend for her to give to her granddaughter for Christmas. My good friend is addicted to handbags too! I would have paid twice as much for it since it's so creative and entertaining. Don't hesitate to buy it because it's not often that you see books this great. This is a 5 STAR book.
