Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection - Vol. 4 (DVD, 2003)

The Mystery Science Theater 3000 4-disc box sets have been around for the past 6+ years, and owning the majority of them, it can be said that some are obviously hysterical, while others fall a bit flat. Growing up with the show and remembering rushing home from school to possibly catch an episode on Comedy Central, the box set makes me think of days that I loved. In regards to Volume 4, I would have to say that "Space Mutiny" is definitely the shining star in this collection. It seems to be the running theme with all of the box sets; you usually get one or two great movies, and 2 or 3 just so-so ones. DOn't get me wrong, they are all good, but somem just stick in your mind. "Space Mutiny" is one of those. Definitely worth the look!

I bought this collection for only one reason...SPACE MUTINY!! That MST3K episode is so damned funny that words don't do it justice. Truthfully, this particular movie literally does most of their work for the MST3K guys, but their combined comic genius propels this film into something truly memorable. The other episodes in this collection are ok, but Space Mutiny is the gem. Its probably the best work MST3K ever produced. Highly recommend!

Growing up, I loved watching Mystery Science Theater 3000. It was hilarious!!! I don't know if it is because it is Volume 4, but I was unfamiliar with the opening credits and some new characters. Overall, it's still pretty funny-I would recommend it for die hard MST 3000 fans.

When my kids were growing up, we would spend each Saturday night eating popcorn and watching the show. Sometimes we would even come up with our own dialogue! Watching these episodes remind me of my kids. Today they are all grown and out of the house. I like Tom Servo best. I plan on getting every set. I am just happy that these have been released. Watching these can make you cheerful even on a gloomy day.

If you enjoy watching terrible movies just to do commentaries on them then this is for you! These movies are so bad and the cast that watches them are way too funny. After buying MST 3000: The Essentials for my wife for Christmas, I was instantly a fan. It is a must watch, must buy!
