  • Nonstop, action-packed drug-busting mayhem. As Hitman and Max Force (the storyline drives which one you control in each level), you must rid the world of the K.R.A.K. organization's drug-infested corruption.
Busting Criminals. Unique to NARC, busting criminals is a good way to increase your score and is critical to solving mission objectives.
  • Play as a good NARC or bad NARC. You decide how you want to accomplish your missions. Pursue illegal deals with drug dealers or be the law abiding NARC cop. It's up to you.
  • Combat with Firearms. Being a cop in streets riddled with crime, you're appropriately loaded with powerful weapons including revolvers, a 100-shot submachine pistol, assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, rocket launchers and a flamethrower.
  • Fire on the criminals in standard third-person perspective or use a zoomed-in 3rd person view for a perfect "limb" shot! Bats, crowbars, knives, axes and other street weapons are also available.
  • Unarmed Combat. An intuitive and fun combat system will allow you to take out the garbage without weapons. It is a rough, authentic street-fighting style with big wild punches, head-butts, knee-strikes, grappling and throwing.
  • Ambient Crime. The world of NARC is extremely violent and crime-ridden with drug deals, vandalism, bag-snatching and car theft. These crimes are not related to your mission, but can help you earn additional respect if stopped.
  • Worldwide "drug" locals. NARC's plot takes the player on an action adventure around the globe in pursuit of the evil drug baron, Mr. Big. Your hunt begins in the USA and continues through Hong Kong, Eastern Europe and ultimately, Mr. Big's private island.
  • Stylized look. NARC captures the urban grittiness of reality while infusing it with an ultra-cool, hip attitude and style of the drug street culture.
  • Comprehensive, licensed "street" soundtrack. Tunes from the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s and today reflect the grittiness and toughness of the drug-infested cities of NARC.

I friggin LOVE THIS GAME. I loved the Nintendo port of the ooooold narc a long time ago, but hooooly poop. this game rocks. okay... first, I'll get to the story.

you alternate play between Jack Forzenski and Marcus Hill, two agents in the NARC division of Rockland PD. I won't give you their whole life stories, so pick it up and read the manual. one day, a dealer named Eddie Jackson got caught in a sting operation. surrounded in the streets, a panicked cop lets loose with his assault rifle, turning Eddie into swiss cheese. right as he lay dying, he injects himself with a mystery drug. moments later, as the police come in to inspect the supposed corpse, he stands up and mows down half the force.

as it turns out, the mystery drug was a new designer drug named liquid soul, distributed by Mr. Big (Sebastian Kale) of world-wide drug cartel K.R.A.K.
your job is to clean this stuff off the streets. GET TO WORK!

ooooh man. first, I'll get to all the minor points. the graphics are pretty good. you can see lots of detail in the buildings and environment. the people have enough detail to recognize them when they run away and you need to chase em and bust em. and people dont disappear the second they're out of sight in this game like they do in GTA.

the controls are tight and precise. beating and arresting people becomes like second nature within half an hour. also, aiming your weapons (theres quite a few) is a breeze after an hour or so.

the sound is great, with people slinging insults at you (F&$(*n PIG), the soundtrack to the game fits the mood (mostly rap, soul & r&b), and jumpers yelling "GERONIMOOOOOooo!!!" as they jump off buildings. yeah, this isn't a city you bring your family to vacation to.

and now, the GAMEPLAY! oooooooooh my doggggg... I LOVE IT. you can play illegal betting games on the streets, and if you lose just arrest them and get your money back. you can bust the dealers on the corners, or be one of their best customers~!. you can flash your badge and cuff the ones who submit, or you can just walk up to em and beat the everlivin bejesus out of em.

however, there ARE bugs in the game. like when you arrest someone but the yellow dot on your map indicating a crime is still blinking. and sometimes you hear gunfire, but NEVER ONCE have I found where it was coming from before it stopped and the perps disappeared. it can be cluttered and hard to navigate at times, but in the grand scheme of this game, those are just minor nuisances (sp?).

and my FAVORITE part of the game.... the drugs you buy/take from the dealers... you can TAKE them, and TRIP! and TWEAK! and get STONED! and HIGH! and the music changes and the view changes. my favorites are LSD & Meth. lsd makes everything change colors and innocents have jester heads and criminals have devil heads.
and meth, you take that and the world becomes like a blur almost, and you can run like the dickens :D it looks very manic. and I dig it.

anywho, to sum it all up, these people created a sweet game here, with some original ideas and some addictive gameplay. if you like shooting people, taking drugs and beating the crap out of people with some cop intrigue, then by all means pick this up!

    Very ADDICTIVE game

Great game, though hard and frustrating at times. I guess all good games are. I had been searching for this title for a long time. I wonder if Midway will make a new version for PS3. If you like San Andreas or any of the GTA games you'll enjoy this one. Very interesting to see which side of the law you end up playing on.

    Narc Review

    Created: 05/08/06
When I first rented this game, I was totally blown away by the drug use in this game. I had a lot of fun running around the city on weed, acid, ecstasy and speed busting criminals and drug dealers and selling their drugs to other people on the street. I even got busted by other undercover narc agents for selling drugs. I recommend renting it just to be able to that, cuz it was a lot of fun. But the problem with this game is that it fails to have an interesting storyline and interesting and fun missions to drive the rest of the game. You can only trip out on acid and run around for so long, and after about 2 days of doing a lot of that, it starts to get old. Add that with a story I really wasn't all that in to and missions that weren't rewarding or fun enough, I felt the motivation to beat it depleting quickly. I recommend it as a rental, because it is fun and worth checking out, but the lasting play value is very minimal.

great game .i would recommend this game to anyone.lot of action and i great game.NARC doesn't masquerade behind some morally ambiguous gray area. You just do drugs and kill people. NARC also doesn't claim to offer the most feature rich, exciting action on the planet. Nope, you just do drugs and kill people. But you might still smile enough to make that simplicity worth a look.

Like any good high, NARC offers a brief period of euphoria followed by the sudden dramatic realization that what you're doing is probably very, very bad for your brain and/or spinal column. Yet, it's also likely to beg for a second, third, fourth and fifth try. Every single time I

This is an older game for the PS2 and xbox, Although I've played it many times on my older version xbox and PS2, it's still one of my favorite games. I play it on my PS3 all the time. Going around and busting drug dealers and taking their stash. If your an gamer who enjoys older games then you don't want to miss this one.
